Sharing My World 22-01-2024

Here is my post for Share Your World, hosted by Di.

Do you find yourself smiling at people for no apparent reason?
Not for no apparent reason. People would think I’m a nutter. I’ll smile at people I pass in the street, though.

If someone smiles at you in the street, do you return it?
Yes, if there’s time. Sometimes you glance up, see someone smiling and they’re past before there’s time to react.

Do you feel comfortable on a crowded street?
It depends how crowded it is. I don’t like to be somewhere that’s so crowded I’m hemmed in. In moderate crowds, head down, plough on through. In the village where I live, a crowd constitutes one person approaching from the opposite direction.

Would you prefer a walk in the woods, a walk on the beach, or a walk round a town seeing the sights?
A walk in the woods. The beach is nice but the sand gets everywhere and it’s a lot harder to walk on sand. I like walking along grassy clifftops, though, and we have a lot of cliffs were I live. Here’s an example from the North coast (Tintagel).

Smiles are easy to give and receive and don’t cost anything – and smiles use less muscles (13) than a frown (47) I’m with you when it comes to crowds, which is probably why I don’t go to Sydney. The last time was about 10 years ago. Now Tintagel would be one place I’d love to go – that and St Michael’s Mount. My best friend comes from Cornwall and she’d love nothing more than show me around LOL and buy me fish and chips 😁

It would be pretty weird to have to chase down a person who passed before you could return their smile, just so you could smile back at them….

But just imagine how freaked out they’d be once you caught them, manhandled them around, then just gave them a nice smile and walked off…

You wouldn’t like to be on a crowded city bus or subway at rush hour. πŸ™‚

Thanks for joining in and sharing your world. I agree about sand getting everywhere, though walks on the beach can be calming. I like the woods as there is likely to be bird song and evidence of deer, badgers, squirrels and foxes.

I like the sound of the sea but the woods are my preference over a beach.

I like to walk in the woods and sit on the beach after swimming. :) I’ve been to Tintagel; it’s so beautiful.

All this talk of sitting on the beach, walking in the woods – and I have to start work in a minute πŸ™‚

      I’m glad you enjoyed Tintagel!

WOW! Sand sounds good, we like to have some in the garden, but for now we have to do it with the soil of the plants. Here’s a smile back at you, Draliman😺😸 Double Pawkisses for a Happy Day and week aheadπŸΎπŸ˜½πŸ’ž

I bet you’d have fun trying to run around on dry sand, your paws would sink right in πŸ™‚
