Sharing My World 18-08-2025
Here is my post for Share Your World, hosted by Di.
What is more tantalising on your taste buds: frying bacon, freshly baked bread, fresh coffee, apple pie.
The frying bacon. As long as it’s “fried” rather than “frying”, which would burn my taste buds clean off.
What is the most unpleasant to you: onions, garlic, smells of the country, personal hygiene.
Poor personal hygiene. Ack.
What is the most annoying: a continuously barking dog, whiny bratty children, loud music, bad language.
The continuously barking dog. There was one where I lived years ago, barked from around 2am to 4am continuously every night. Woke me up and kept me awake.
What is most likely to make you smile: kittens/puppies, toddlers splashing in puddles, a baby’s smile, an elderly couple holding hands.
Kittens!

fun replies and the bad language thing gets to me – but I can see how the continuously barking dog could be a huge drain

It’s not just the noise, it winds me up that no one is controlling the dog and then I can’t sleep because of that.

I’d have to say coffee every time. 😊 And a barking dog that keeps me awake would drive me crazy. Nice to see you!

I drink coffee but I never seem to get the same rush off it that other people do 😦

Thanks for joining in again this week and sharing your world.
The barking dog is annoying………….. we have one next door, a shih tzu that barks as soon as they let it out into the garden. They tried to say it was because Maya was on the other side of the fence, but I told them that she was inside. She doesn’t usually bark, but ‘lost it’ once with the yapper and let out one single deep wroof! I heard a satisfying squeak from next door followed by silence. Sadly it didn’t last, and they don’t reprimand it. I’ve had to ask them to keep it in if we have a viewing.

You’ll have to let Maya out more often to do her “woof” thing.

Hehe. She goes outside a lot, but rarely barks even if the yapper is on the other side of the fence. I guess that particular day she’d had enough!

I had no idea you once lived next to Fleabag. I do hope at least Fuzzy shared his good stuff…

Completely agree about the bacon and personal hygiene! 😀 I have been plagued by non-stop barking for 11 years! 😦

I’m really lucky here – the occasional barking but never enough to get annoying.
