Sharing My World 08-12-2025

Here is my post for Share Your World, hosted by Di.

Have you ever been fishing?
A few times when I was little. I never caught anything.

What do you consider to be the bravest thing you’ve ever done?
I don’t recall ever doing anything particularly “brave”.

Would you rather:
curl up with a good book in front of an open fire, or
settle down with a tub of popcorn and watch a good movie with a friend
?
I’ll go for the book option. And definitely no popcorn for me, thanks.

Have you ever owned tropical fish?
No. Just the occasional goldfish here and there.

I don’t care much for popcorn either. My youngest and his father love it.

Thanks for joining in this week. I had goldfish as a child as the rag and bone man would give us one in exchange for a bag of old clothes. They lived for years, unlike any won at the fair which lasted a couple of months at best.

My goldfish mostly came from the fair and never lived long.

Strange that wasn’t it, but those we got from the rag and bone man loved for years!

When I was little I ate and ate and ate popcorn at a fair and threw up all over the front garden when we got home. I haven’t been able to go near it since.
Isn’t it just great when the strongest early memory I have is of throwing up.

I’ll take the book option unless there is chocolate available for the film. 🙂
