Share My World 20-07-2026
Here is my post for Share Your World, hosted by Di.
Did you ever keep a diary?
No, unless you count the early days of my blog which had more “life” stuff in it.
Do you use a calendar that is NOT on a computer/smartphone?
Not for a long time. I like to be able to check things everywhere I am. And more importantly, my calendar is in the cloud so I can’t lose it. Plus I have reminders set up which pling me when I need to take my tablets or put the garden waste out,
When was the last time you wrote a letter…… using pen and paper, not a computer.
A long time, pen and paper or computer! Though I tend to write a “mini-letter” in Christmas cards to my friends.
If you had a column of 10 figures, could you add them up or would you need a calculator?
Yes. If it’s big numbers or numbers with decimal points I wouldn’t necessarily be able to do it in my head though.
It’s easier and quicker (and potentially more accurate) to use the calculator on my phone, though.

Do you hand write a letter at Christmas or print one off for everyone?

I don’t do a separate letter, I just write a short letter in the Christmas card itself.

That’s awesome!
I used to do that. It is time consuming, but so much more personal.

Thanks for joining in again this week and sharing your world. I used to enclose a newsletter with my Christmas cards many years ago. Now it’s just a straightforward greeting and best wishes for the coming year. My postal Christmas card list has more than halved in recent years, sadly because many of our friends have passed away.
Have a good week.

My Christmas card list was never long, but it is also shrinking as people pass away.

I deliver around 40 on our estate as we know so many people, and post about 18.

I guess I’m one of the only people left on earth to use my mobile only for making calls. 😀

What a fun read! I’m right there with you on digital calendars the reminders alone make life so much easier. And mini-letters in Christmas cards are always such a lovely surprise to receive. Thanks for sharing! 🌟

Thanks 🙂 I’m far too disorganised, I even have daily reminders to take my tablets! So there’s no way I’d remember someone’s birthday or the like without it plinging on my phone.

I still use a paper calendar. There’s something satisfying about writing things down by hand.

There is, but without something actually forcing a reminder on me I’d be in a right old mess.

Great answers, Draliman. Our blog is our diary too..and a photo-album😸We only have a calendar on the wall, we’re still kind of old fashion here. We calculate on a calculator. Extra Pawkisses🐾😽💞

If I didn’t have my phone pinging reminders at me, I would forget everything 🙂
