Sharing My World 17-08-2026
Here is my post for Share Your World, hosted by Di.
What was your favourite TV show as a kid?
Hmm, there were quite a few. I quite enjoyed Grange Hill (a UK school-based drama) and The A Team.
Do you have a favourite ‘tipple’? (alcoholic drink, or something when you are out for a meal etc)
I usually have some sort of diet cola.
Is there a movie you can watch again and again and still enjoy?
Yep, quite a few. Star Wars: A New Hope (ie the first film released), Die Hard, Aliens, the Resident Evil films, stuff like that. I watched Starship Troopers for the umpteenth time just last night.
Did you have a favourite toy as a child? Or perhaps one you wanted and never got?
The one I really remember is a wooden fort my Dad made for us. It had a working drawbridge and everything!

Fabulous fort with a working drawbridge. Way to go Dad!
Starship Troopers was fun (we had all three), and Resident Evil brilliant, we have the boxed set. We had a special edition pack of all Alien movies and I have all the Terminator ones except Salvation as it’s not available on a DVD we can play.
Thanks for joining in again, Have a great weeek.

I have an Alien boxset too, though it doesn’t include the more recent films, just 1-4. “Aliens” is my favourite out of all the 10 or so “Alien universe” films I have seen.

We had two copies of the first four films in ours, the original release and extended editions, plus a 9th disc which was a documentary. I enjoyed the AVP series too.

Sounds like we own the same box set.

Good movies, whichever version, but for the second, it definitely added much more to the story with the extra half an hour or so.

Loved the A-team, Draliman. It seems so long ago that we were watching it😻That wooden fort sounds like a great toy and what a wonderful memory too. Double Pawkisses for a Happy Week ahead🐾😽💞
