Sharing My World Week 47

Welcome to a special edition of Cee’s Share Your World this week! Instead of four questions to answer, this week we’re asked to list at least 50 things that we enjoy.

I’m not doing this challenge so didn’t have to come up with 50 things, but if I had I might also have listed Jar Jar Binks. We once had a dog by that name.

    • November 30, 2014 at 8:52 am

That’s an awesome name for a dog πŸ™‚

Iron Maiden? I never would have guessed that one. Awesome. πŸ™‚

    • November 30, 2014 at 8:53 am

I’m a big fan! I saw them live in Germany in 91, which was great. My range of music is everything from Abba to Iron Maiden.

No comments on Jar Jar? πŸ™‚

That must have been one helluva concert πŸ˜€ I knew you said you liked different music, but something you said on one of my music posts got me thinking that metal wasn’t in there. At least I think it was you. πŸ™‚

        #45 is pretty great too!

  3. November 30, 2014 at 9:18 am

Ali, I would guess you really, really like Jar Jar Binks. I would also guess you lead a good life. The internet isn’t as fast here. It’s probably a combination of my little laptop (smaller than the regular size and perchased by a relative for me. He didn’t think I’d probably be doing anything but email–wrong. I paid for it but he picked it out.) and the electricity going on and off at odd times and messing up cable service. My daughter used two words for it–poor infrastructure. In other words, she said what did I expect, I’m in India. πŸ™‚ — Susan

    • November 30, 2014 at 9:27 am

We don’t have amazing infrastructure here but I’m lucky that although I get abysmal mobile service in the village they did get around to installing fibre optic broadband. Being able to stream HD programmes is great!
I do think Jar Jar is funny, though I put him in multiple times as a sort of joke πŸ™‚

You have simple tastes, and are obviously easy to please. Love some of your choices – especially the beautiful scenery, babbling brook, summer and winter walks. Nothing gets better than that.

    • November 30, 2014 at 11:34 am

Yes, I’m easy to please! A nice walk by a babbling brook, then back home to a warm fire and pizza πŸ™‚

  5. November 30, 2014 at 5:26 pm

I had to look up Jar Jar Binks. I could have (excluding Jar Jar) copied and pasted your list and with a few minor changes (very minor), could have used it as mine.

    • December 1, 2014 at 8:05 am

I’m thinking maybe one of your minor changes would be to remove the Marmite πŸ™‚
People either love Jar Jar or hate him with a passion.

  6. November 30, 2014 at 9:24 pm

Brilliant insight into a Jar Jar groupie. You have a very beautiful mind Dr Ali. Anyone who has found peace and quiet and has lots of puppies on a roll and one who dresses like a pirate and has little cats who own it all and babbling brooks has truly found the meaning of life in my book!

    • December 1, 2014 at 8:05 am

      There’s contentment going on in Drali-Land πŸ™‚

  7. November 30, 2014 at 9:58 pm

    Interesting DrAli.
    Then came the Marmite!

  8. December 1, 2014 at 3:20 am

    JAR JAR!!!!!!! YAY!!!!

OH, and of course, Puppies on a Roll! But really, who doesn’t enjoy wiping with puppies?

    • December 1, 2014 at 8:07 am

Between Jar Jar and Puppies on a Roll I am indeed blessed.

  9. December 1, 2014 at 9:50 pm

I think jar jar blinks is wonderful! I adored your list. Thanks for sharing.

    • December 2, 2014 at 8:16 am

      He’s real comedy relief πŸ™‚

  10. December 2, 2014 at 5:05 am

Jar Jar Binks? I’ll look that up:P That bridge is beautiful and holds lots of stories I’m sure…

    • December 2, 2014 at 8:16 am

It’s a bridge in North Wales. I wonder how many people have sat nearby and contemplated?

  11. December 2, 2014 at 3:09 pm

Cute and Oh yes, fun to read. Jar Jar Binks β€” the best of that trilogy.

    • December 2, 2014 at 4:01 pm

      Glad you liked it!
Jar Jar does have that certain something that Star Wars has always been lacking πŸ™‚

  12. December 3, 2014 at 2:58 am

Lol @ the repetition of Jar Jar Binks.

    • December 3, 2014 at 8:13 am

And such a comedy picture too. Unfortunately I noticed that’s the picture Facebook chose to post to my FB wall via the WordPress-Facebook auto-post linkup πŸ™‚

Great list and I hope Jar Jar appreciates being included so many times. πŸ™‚ Very glad to know you like your job – it’s awful when you don’t. This is a list of things to be thankful for as well as to enjoy.

    • December 4, 2014 at 8:31 am

      I’m sure he’s most appreciative πŸ™‚
Definitely a list of things to be thankful for as well. I really lucked into this job!

  14. December 4, 2014 at 1:45 am

The fish and chips look amazing!! That’s one thing that we haven’t found a good place for here in Korea – YET!! I’m determined still!! πŸ™‚

England is the only place you’ll get “proper” fish and chips πŸ™‚
A lot of the food you post looks scrumptious. I think after a while I would miss the occasional fish and chips, though.
