Sharing My World Week 48
It’s time to Share My World with you all, courtesy of Cee at Cee’s Photography Blog. Thanks for posing the questions, Cee!
What is your favourite toppings on pizza?
Everything! Chuck it all on.
Well, none of that vegetable shit, obviously. Or those weird little fish. Cheesy meaty goodness, that’s what we want. Olives are good (I checked and they’re fruit, not veg). And peppers too (also fruit). So the “no veg” rule holds firm.
I want to learn more about β¦
I’d quite like to learn the guitar properly, rather than just the easiest chords (I know that’s technically learning to “do” something rather than learn “about” something, but hey).
Because everybody knows the lead guitar gets all the girls. And because it would be cool.
I have a 20 year old electric guitar which is largely broken. I need a new one. It’s on the “list”.
What are three places youβve enjoyed visiting?
That’s tricky – I’ve got to choose places I’ve enjoyed visiting but not lived in, so that rules out Ireland and Germany straight away.
North Scotland – summer holidays with my Granny when I was a kid. Beautiful.
North Wales (my little holiday last year). Beautiful as well!
Tintagel (Cornwall) – I had a wonderful day out during the summer.
Do you prefer eating the frosting of the cake or the cupcake first?
I’m not anti-frosting per se, but it can be pretty sweet and overwhelming. So I attempt to eat the frosting and cake together, which is a good combination. I suppose if it weren’t a good combination, people wouldn’t frost cakes.
Bye bye for this week!

Don’t underestimate the appeal of being a brooding bass player! Cool that you have a guitar, even if it’s broken.
Olives and peppers? Yikes. Extra cheese is always a good thing though!

I could stand at the back of the stage and pluck the strings with a scowl on my face π
Extra cheese is essential!

Ali, Good piece. Talk about extra cheese. I could hardly find the pizza base under there. π There was a pizza base under there wasn’t there? I’m being trusting here. Well done. π — Susan

There was a pizza base. It is required to keep the topping in one piece! It’s all about the topping π

Thin and crispy base, lots of meat–chicken, beef, lamb, prawns, prawns, BBQ sauce, a moderate of garlic aioli and then a moderate amount of cheese on top–nicely browned.
I can’t play any musical instrument and when I was a kid I didn’t know the difference between a piano and a hole in the ground, but by the time I was ten, I could play a hole in the ground. I love listening to a cello being played.
I’ve never been out of Australia, but I’ve been to 5 different states within Australia. I’d love to visit Cornwall, Wales and New Zealand. π

I’m not a bit seafood fan but I like the sound of the rest!
I learned piano as a kid but it’s been a while.
I’d like to visit New Zealand too. They have Hobbits, you understand π

I draw the line at “greens” π Fried onions are vegetables, right? My conscience is clear. I eat healthy.

Haven’t been to Scotland, but I loved Cornwall and climbed the cliffs. I was younger and dumber then π Loved Wales, too … and Ireland. Dublin was a terrific city, especially if you like pubs.

I try to stay away from the cliff edges π
I only visited Dublin for work meetings. I enjoyed the lakes and coastline more when I lived in Ireland.

Aaah Alistair you always make me smile, and laugh to myself. what category do mushrooms fall under? I love mushrooms with pepperoni and extra cheese… And i’m in total agreement about the cake vs icing dilemma. What pairs better with icing (frosting) than cake and vice versa? again mmmmmm.
dang an hour of work to go and now I’m hungry π¦

Mushrooms are fungi. Mmm, fungus π
Mushrooms go great on pizza, and pepperoni is one of my favourite toppings. I can’t remember the last pizza I had which didn’t include pepperoni.
I’m wanting cake as well now and it’s only 0610! Not even light yet π

I’m not well traveled but I’ve been given a trip to Thailand next October, dates sort of up in the air. Wedding!?!
Your food choices are yummy, sort of. I agree completely with your cheese and meat but I no longer eat like that.
Wish I did.
My favorite pizza is chicken, artichoke, scallions with pineapple. Very light mozzarella. Thin crispy crust. I know, terrible.

Thailand sounds great, I hope you’ll have a fun time!
I shouldn’t really keep eating my cheesey meaty pizzas (I’m sure my doctor would rather I didn’t) but they taste so good π
