Sharing My World 2015 Week 50
It’s week 50, and time for my Share Your World post, hosted by Cee.
Favourite thing to photograph? Write? Or Cook?
Photograph – nature scenes, like this scene at St. Nectan’s Glen.
Write: darkly humorous death fiction bwahahaha π
Cook: Pizzzzzzaaaaa!

Yum
Did you like swinging as a child? Do you still get excited when you see a swing?
Swinging? Whayhay! Oh, right, I see. Yes, it was fun. Whenever I see a swing I want to have a go, but firstly they’re too small, secondly they may not be rated to my weight and thirdly I’d probably get told off by disgruntled parents who think it’s high time their little Jimmy or Jemima had a go.
What has surprised you about blogging?
That I’ve “met” so many lovely people from all over the world. Who knew I would have so many friends? π
List at least five favourite desserts.
- Black Forest gateau
- Eton Mess
- Strawberry gateau
- Any one of various ice cream concoctions, like knickerbocker glory, banana split and the like
- Pretty much anything else that’s not very good for me π

Like you, I find desserts that aren’t good for me taste the best. I’m glad you clarified “swinging”. Some answers could be x-rated if the question was misunderstood. Good answers, Ali. π — Suzanne

Yeah, I thought I should avert any confusion π
The more fat and sugar, the better the dessert!

The best one I ever had was in a place I stayed when I visited Wales a couple of years ago. It was perfection π

I’m always tempted to jump on the swings when I go to the park. Unfortunately, that’s a good way for a childless adult to get labeled as a prevert these days…

Sad but true. Whenever I walk past a playground I’m careful not to look, just in case.

I think if it is “good” for you, it probably is NOT a dessert π

I believe the definition of “dessert” mentions a minimum calorie value π

Your list of favourite desserts is very similar to mine. π I adore black forest gateau and anything involving cream, strawberries and meringue has to be lovely!

Crumbs, sorry, I missed your comment. Well, I remember reading it…
I’m feeling hungry now thinking of cream and whatnot and it’s not even 6 am yet! I could scoff Black Forest gateau at any time of the day or night π

I had never heard of any of your desserts- except ice cream (of course). But I googled…. So, you are definitely a cake kid! However the Eton Mess… I will have to try that!!!

Definitely cake. I love desserts! Eton Mess is great, as is Black Forest Gateau – very tasty.

Googled gateau and Eton Mess, did not have a clue.
I’m not a strawberry fan but the remaining choices doubd great.
Pizza might be one of my favorite foods. Love the leftovers cold with coffee in the morning.
In Bangkok most hotel resturants had pizza on the menu. Heaven!

I love cold pizza too. I usually sprinkle some Tabasco sauce on. Sounds like Bangkok is my kind of place (food-wise anyway!).
I like strawberries anyway but I love them in desserts and cakes.

Beautiful photo of St. Nectan’s Glen, which, I imagine, is in Cornwall. I’d love to see that place. After making that pizza, who knows where your culinary talents will take you to next? As for desserts, it’s such a pity that all the yummiest ones aren’t good for us! Life can be so darned cruel!

Yes, St. Nectan’s Glen is in Cornwall, just a bit further up the coast from Tintagel.
I’m going to try some cake or cupcake baking next, I think!
Pretty much everything which tastes amazing is bad for us π Strange how it works out that way.
