Sharing My World 2016 Week 9

Here is my post for Cee’s Share Your World, where we answer questions posed by Cee.

share-your-world2

Have you done something you truly want to do today?
Well, it’s only 8am. I guess I had a bit of a lie in which was something I wanted! I don’t usually “truly want to do” anything to be honest. Days come, days go…

What can you help the world with?
Well, nothing really. But this does remind me of a craze which swept our school back in the day. Someone would ask if they could “help” you and if you said “yes”, they’d turn your bag/pencil case upside down and empty it out all over the floor. I am proud to announce that I was part of the originating group for this!

So I could turn the world’s pencil case upside down and empty it out. Maybe it needs a bit of a clear out.

If life was ‘just a bowl of cherries’… which fruit other than a cherry would you be..?
I’d be a passion fruit, obviously… 😉

Quotes List: At least three of your favourite quotes?
Here are some quotes I used before for a quote challenge.

  • Do or do not, there is no try (Master Yoda)
  • In the beginning there was nothing, which exploded (Terry Pratchett)
  • Be excellent to each other (Bill and Ted)

Be excellent to each other….yes. I can only imagine the pencil case clearing. 😀

A silly fun film with a great message!
Yes, the pencil case clearing, or “helping”, was quite a laugh (for the “helpers”) 🙂

Ah yes, Master Yoda. Wise was he 😉 So it was YOU that started the pencil case fiasco was it?!! Tut, tut!

” I don’t usually “truly want to do” anything to be honest” That might be being too truthful for online? Loved the rest of them, as well!

There’s not usually anything I really really want to do. Just stuff I enjoy!

My fourth grade teacher hated a messy desk, and loved embarrassing students. So guess whose messy desk often got dumped out in front of the whole classroom. Boy, she’d hate to see my computer desk right now… assuming the witch is still alive.

Sorry, but that’s what your pencil case story reminded me of!

Ha, “assuming the witch is still alive” 🙂
“A tidy desk is a lazy student” I used to say.

“In the beginning there was nothing, which exploded.”

That’s the spirit. In the end, there will also be nothing. It imploded.

Fun quotes! The pencil case trick sounds like something that the boys in my school would have come up with. They were always coming up with new ways to terrorize the less fortunate.

Do they carry pencil cases around these days?

I have no idea. Surely they must need something for their pens and protractor and so on. Or is it all iPads these days?

Mine was always covered in pen marks and full of tiny bits of paper and other undefinable items. Emptying them out was doing people a favour really 🙂

I shall put it on my list.
I’m almost embarrassed to say this, but I had never watched Dr. Who until this past month (we don’t have T.V., just a DVD player and a T.V. screen). Isn’t it strange that someone who adores Red Dwarf and has watched and re-watched all the episodes for years has not see Dr. Who?
Well, anyway, I got the Ninth Doctor series, and adore it all — Christopher Eccleston is brilliant. Rose is excellent.
I’m now reluctant to watch the other Doctors — but I shall. Wish Eccleston had stayed on!

I actually preferred the other Doctors (especially David Tennant) so it will be interesting to see what you think 🙂 And Rose sticks around for another series plus a couple of other stories. And the “specials” (not necessarily the Christmas specials but David Tennant’s “end of him being the Doctor” and Matt Smith’s anniversary ones) are amazing.
