Sharing My World 2017 Week 6
Here is my post for Cee’s Share Your World series.
Regarding your fridge, is it organised or a mess inside?
Both, really. It’s not particularly tidy, but everything is in its correct position. I always know where everything is, and everything is always where its supposed to be.
Here is a photo. Yesterday was shopping day, so it’s at max capacity.
Do you prefer your food separated or mixed together?
I put it all on the same plate and eat it. Sometimes it mixes a bit, ‘cos the plate’s not big enough. But I don’t stick my fry-up in a blender and drink it through a straw or anything.
Do you prefer reading coffee table books (picture), biographies, fiction, non-fiction, educational?
Fiction, always. I learn stuff at work, I deal with reality all day. Why would I want more of the same when I’m trying to relax?
Close your eyes. Listen to your body. What part of your body is seeking attention? What is it telling you?
Well, I have little aches around the place but that’s what happens when you start to get old. Not quite sure when that happened. It’s asking for coffee. I’ll sort that in a sec 🙂

Great fridge! There’s Hellmans mayonnaise on the inside and what looks like a penguin on the outside 🙂

I thought everyone’s fridge had Hellman’s inside.

I don’t know if I’ve ever had that much in my icebox the entire 8 years I’ve had it combined!
Icebox, incidentally, is an American hillbilly term for fridge, but one that’s in common use where I live so it comes natural to me. Everyone on the internet (including fellow Americans) raises an eyebrow at me when it slips out…

I always thought “icebox” was the freezer. Most of my freezer is certainly ice 😦
I can’t think of a single meal I eat which doesn’t require something from the fridge or freezer.

I like all food in a single plate. I’ve nominated you for the ‘Versatile Blogger Award’. I’d be pleased if you accept it. https://travel387.wordpress.com/2017/02/12/the-versatile-blogger-award-nomination/

Your fridge looks well organised to me, with plenty of juices and pop. I just wondered whether you had the coffee black – not a drop of milk in sight. (I realise not everyone’s a milkoholic, like me.) As for old-age aches… after climbing all those steps up to Tintagel last year, my poor old knees haven’t stopped complaining. Unfortunately, coffee doesn’t seem to help. 🙂

I don’t like milk, at all. Even as a little child my mum says I wouldn’t drink the stuff.
Tintagel does have a lot of steps 🙂

Draliman, my mouth fell open when I saw your well organized fridge, no wonder that you can find everything immediately 😀 The answer on the books was very…wise, yes, I guess that’s the right word 😀 Pawkisses for a Happy Monday 🙂 ❤

I like to have everything in its place 🙂 Otherwise I don’t know what to buy when I go to the shops.

That’s a very neat fridge, Ali. The penguin and Christmas tree stickers on the outside are very cute. 🙂 While I enjoy reading a nonfiction book every once in a while, if there’s fiction available, it will always be read first! Great answers.

That second question’s a weird one. I’m feeling out of sorts trying to work out what it means. Good to know the fridge is full. And if you develop the habit of Q4 into mindfulness, the aches might reduce. Practising mindfulness has been shown to reduce joint inflammation. Sorry, I am such a bore.

Yes, I was a bit confused by it too!
The fridge is always full at the weekend – I go shopping Saturday morning 🙂
My aches are really only the occasional twinge. I should stop comparing things to 30 years ago!

Close my eyes and listen to my body, I always hear my pulse in my ears. Loud thumping tells me my blood pressure is high at the moment. Taking deep breath a few times usually quiet it down. 🙂

Ha Ha, I just popped over to yours to see what you wrote this week and I can’t believe this prompt! Your story is hilarious but I don’t think I can risk reading any more before I write my own, I am going to have enough trouble keeping your story out of my head! 🙂

I’m glad you liked it! I make sure to stay well clear of all other stories until I write mine or I get the same way, then I can’t think of anything 🙂
You did well with yours, though!
