Sharing My World 2017 Week 15

Here is my post for Cee’s Share Your World.

Have you ever participated in a distance walking, swimming, running, or biking event? Tell your story.
I have done quite a few marathons.

Netflix marathons.

Ha ha ha.

Name one thing not many people know about you.
No, because then lots of people would know it about me πŸ™‚

What is your favourite flower?
I don’t really have a favourite flower. I have favourite flower colours, my preference being blues and purples. Here are some which pop up in my back garden every Spring.

I don’t know anything about flowers but I’m guessing they’re bluebells since they’re blue and they looks like bells.

Things I want to have in my home (paintings, hot tubs, book cases, big screen TV etc)
I’ve pretty much got everything in my house that I want/need. The TV in the sitting room is already as big as will fit, though it’s not big by today’s standards (42″).

Catching up on last night’s “Casualty”

I have pictures on the walls and as many book cases as I have wall space for.

My house is full!

Happy Easter, Ali. You seem to be doing fine in the home furnishings area. πŸ™‚ — Suzanne

And to you! I have all the furnishings I need since I replaced the bed, sofa and cooker a year or two ago πŸ™‚

You sound so happy with your home. That’s a good thing.

Great answers as usual. I like your idea of marathons and am glad to learn nothing about you via question 2. Looking at your walls, I think there’s plenty of space for more as and when you find things to love.

I’m sure I can squeeze a few more bits and bobs in when the need arise πŸ™‚

I was instantly ashock with your marathons…. until I continued to read! Hahaha!

    • April 16, 2017 at 4:29 pm

Yeah, no-one would ever really believe I’d done an actual marathon!

You need one of those giant TV’s! Then you can really do some major marathons. πŸ™‚

  6. April 16, 2017 at 1:31 pm

42″ is not big by today’s TV standards? Geez, another technology thing I’m way behind in (I think mine’s a 26…. yep, only 26)…

    • April 16, 2017 at 4:31 pm

      It’s not even 4K. I’m constantly behind everyone else…
My parents have what appears to be a 26″ TV. It’s hard to tell as it’s so small I can hardly see it heh heh πŸ˜‰

  7. April 16, 2017 at 1:59 pm

I love Netflix marathons tooπŸ˜€πŸ˜€πŸ˜€. Fab post!

  8. April 16, 2017 at 4:36 pm

I agree-film marathons are the best! I have to make do with a 26″ screen. When this one goes I’ll get a larger one.

You have a lovely home. Those are blue bell flowers and they are very pretty, good guess!!

Thanks! It’s dinky, but there’s only the one of me πŸ™‚

It looks very spacious. I need to go through my place and take out some clutter.

My house is full + 50% spare.

    • April 17, 2017 at 6:07 am

I always manage to expand to fill all available space.

  11. April 17, 2017 at 1:20 am

How coincidence! Blue and purple are my favorite colors too. Also your book case is just as big as mine. But I’m sure you have much more books in the boxes in the basement.

    • April 17, 2017 at 6:10 am

I only recently(ish) moved into a house with a loft to store stuff. UK houses rarely have basements so sadly I ended up passing quite a few books on to others. I got a Kindle instead through lack of space!

I like your idea of a marathon! That’s the only kind I’ve participated in as well. πŸ˜€

  13. April 17, 2017 at 6:11 pm

Haha – Netflix marathons. How tiring! πŸ˜‰
Brilliant answer to telling us something most people don’t know about you. A witty, polite way of saying ‘none of your beeswax’. 😁

That’s certainly the way you’re portrayed on US TV πŸ™‚

I’m certainly convinced that 10 seconds after setting foot on American soil I’d be mown down in a drive-by.

Yeah, like “Mountie Man” (as my ex used to call him) out of “Due South” πŸ™‚
