Are you more a thinker or a doer?
Definitely a thinker. I do a lot of thinking about all the chores I need to do, but there’s not been so much actual doing going on.
I did get a new storage unit for my bathroom though. I assembled it a couple of days ago. Here it is!
Why is beauty associated with mortality?
I don’t know! I don’t understand the question 😦 Unless it’s something about rotting corpses not being beautiful. So instead here’s a picture of some ice cream I made last week with strawberry syrup squirted on top. I used the no-churn no-heating method so it was very quick and easy.

If everyone spoke their mind (told the literal truth), would this world be a better place?
Nope. Imagine if everyone came up to you and told you what they actually thought of you? I don’t wanna know…
Can religious beliefs affect scientific thinking?
I’m sure they do for some. They shouldn’t though. Science is all about formulating a theory and then devising a way to prove it. “Belief”, religious or otherwise, doesn’t really come into it.

Good answers, Ali. Good grief! I can imagine how many fights would break out if everyone told the truth out loud. Say goodbye to neighborhood peace let alone world peace. Come to think of it, maybe that’s why we don’t have world peace. Too many loudmouths are giving their truthful opinions even without being asked. 😦 — Suzanne

Hey big nose – I think social media has largely done away with tact and diplomacy. A large part of the world population seems not to have been taught that words, once said or written, cannot be unsaid, or unwritten.

Me too!
300ml double cream, add whatever flavouring and whip until stiff. 3 eggs, separated, Whisk the whites until stiff. Add 125 ml castor sugar to yolks and beat to paste. Add yolks to cream and whip. Fold in whites. Freeze (around 1 day). Whip/stir occasionally while freezing to minimise ice crystals. Didn’t bother with the last bit but it’s a good idea 🙂

Thanks Ali for Sharing Your World! That cabinet looks beautiful, clearly you excel at DIY, a skill which a lot of folks don’t share. I answered your comment on my original SYW about beauty and mortality…I don’t think many ‘got’ that, I know I didn’t. That ice cream looks amazing. 😛

A carpeted bathroom is quite common here (though not recommended these days if you’re selling). I prefer it though 🙂
I just followed a recipe, it’s easier than it looks!

I also got into the alive versus rotting dead issue. I think I read too much science fiction and fantasy. Too many vampires, werewolves, and crazed wizards.

Enjoyed your comments as always. And the ice cream added a nice visual touch.
Speaking one’s mind, saying what you think and speaking the truth. I agreed with your answer, but then took a good look at that question again. If everyone told the literal truth, the world would be a better place. The trouble is, most people are under the impression that their opinion IS the literal truth. I think if we could at least divide one from the other, the world would be a lot better place. 😉
A friend told me that years ago there was a newscaster here in Canada who ended his viewpoints by saying, “Remember, this is one man’s opinion.” Can you imagine what effect that truth could have on news reporting today! :O

I think every day about chores as well… I even think how nice it would be if someone would avail themselves and complete them. Just hasn’t happened … yet?
