Sharing My World 30-11-2020

Here is my post for Melanie’s Share Your World.

What would you enjoy if you could do so without someone getting annoyed with you for enjoying it? It MUST be something you aren’t supposed to enjoy because it is “bad for you”.
Ha, there isn’t anyone to get annoyed with me for doing “bad for me” things so I do what I want heh heh 🙂

Is it okay for men to wear the colour pink?
Of course. I wore a (pale) pink shirt to a wedding a few years ago, and quite a few chaps there wore the same.

Can you curl your tongue?
I checked, and apparently I can! Hooray. I knew I had a superpower.

What, in your opinion, is the best room to put a fireplace?
Sorry to sound traditional, but the living room. It where most people spend most of their at home awake time.

I wore a pink shirt (not pale either) for about two years as part of an uniform! It was fine then too…

That “blue for boys, pink for girls” thing is quite out of date, I think.

I love all of your selective true colors drailman and I have honestly been thinking about that perfect room for a fireplace. The bedroom!

I seem to remember that being able to curl your tongue was a prerequisite to being able to enter spitting contests as a small boy. (Not that I ever did such a thing of course)

Congrats on finding out that you’re a superhero! Here is your pale pink bodysuit and cape…

Hehehehe! I do whatever I want when wearing a pink shirt in the livingroom. Unfortunately I don’t have a fireplace which is rather annoying.

I have a fireplace with a gas heater, but it doesn’t work any longer 😦

Thank you Alistair for Sharing Your World! Let me guess (about the pale pink shirt)…you were a) the best man or b) one of a series of groomsmen….? .. and they think bridesmaids suffer (well we DO, I was one of those a time or eight… LOL) Have a great week!

No, I wasn’t the best man or part of the wedding party. It’s so long ago in fact I can’t remember whose wedding it was. The whole “pink for girls, blue for boys” thing is finally disappearing into history. It’s only in newborn babies that it’s sort of “expected” these days.

You think you have a superpower? Can you make your elbows touch?

I’ve never tried so I had a go! I can push them together of course, though not end to end! I can feel the elbow bones pushing together though. And yes, I can still touch my toes (and the ground in fact) without bending my knees. Probably just means I have short legs…

I thought for a moment that it might be romantic to have it in the bedroom, but not even a fire will heat my bedroom up these days, best to leave it in the living room. lol

My husband used to wear pink as a dress shirt, often one that had a slightly contrasting white color. It looked great on him (and on TV, too).

They’re not uncommon, though fewer people have to wear shirts to work these days (even before home working).

Fun fact. Being able to curl your tounge is genetic, and it’s a dominant gene. It’s highly probable that at least one of your parents could as well.

Cool, I didn’t know that. I thought it was something everyone could do.
