Sharing My World 09-08-2021
Here is my post for Melanie’s Share Your World.
Restrictions are being lifted all over the world. Do you feel itโs safe to go out and mingle in crowds in light of the Pandemic?
Well, depends what you mean by “safe”. It’s always less safe to mingle in crowds, there’s always something going around, even other potentially fatal viruses (like flu).
I just checked the stats – 90% of adults in the UK have had one dose of vaccine, 76% have had both. And although most restrictions have now been lifted, most people are still wearing masks inside shops etc (most shops are “strongly requesting” it), so it’s as safe as it can be I guess.
What are some things that are okay to do occasionally, but definitely not okay to do every day?
All the best things to do, obviously. Like eating chocolate and ice cream and cakes and whatnot. Burger and chips, fish and chips, pizza…
Would you relocate for love (romantic or otherwise)?
I seriously doubt it. You shift your entire life around and then you break up and you’ve got nothing.
(he said cynically…)
Do you believe in any conspiracy theories (no judgment)?
No, because if I believed in one, in my own mind it would be “fact”, not a theory. Heh heh.
Some people would laugh at some of the things I believe in. More fool them. Anyone who doesn’t believe in the Worldwide Cat Cabal is going to be very surprised when the furry little hellions finally make their move towards world domination.

Yes, there are dogs everywhere. I reckon cats are the thinkers and dogs are their shock troops ๐ฎ

Thanks, Alistair, for Sharing Your World! ๐ Those cats have minions too.
I’ve caught some dogs in ‘compromising’ situations with cats (i.e. tolerating them and ‘talking’ together, not something less savory) and when they stare at you if you pass them doing that, and then immediately start up again, you just KNOW there’s something amiss and they’re plotting! ๐ In the USA I don’t know how many remain unvaccinated, but I know there’s a larger than average amount of those dimwits living near me. And you thought YOU were weird for believing in the Cat Cabal. Most places in the USA have lifted all restrictions too. And people are dropping dead from not getting any vaccination and then catching that Delta thing. Nobody I’ve read of who got vaccinated and caught Delta even got that sick with it. Now who’s paranoid?? Hah! Have a splendid week! ๐

I don’t really get these COVID vaccination conspiracies. The BBC talked to one chap in the street who was worried the vaccine allowed people to see what was in your bank account and, ironically, also gauge your IQ. Maybe the cats are behind it all ๐ฎ

I wouldn’t know about restrictions lifting. We’re into week 8 of lockdown version 3..or is it 4?
Conspiracy theories really tick me off – especially when it’s been spouted by someone who should know better e.g. a medical professional. Which, really contradicts the term “professional.” The only conspiracy theory I like is the Mel Gibson movie. I’m with you about the cats. If you notice, cats stare at you. They’re trying to hypnotise you.

Sometimes I’ll look out the window and a cat’s across the road, staring at me. Later I’ll look out again and it’s still there, still staring at me. It’s staking out my place ๐ฎ

Just start to worry when the next time you look, the cat is still there…only closer. Be very afraid ๐
