Sharing My World 17-01-2022
Here is my post for Melanie’s Share Your World.
Fill in: ‘If I were really completely honest, I would say that …’ (This is a question for ‘radical honesty’)
… “radical honesty” is a great way to really upset people and get your face smashed in.
Have you ever broken anything? What about rules?
I’ve broken lots of things, though not as many as you might expect by my age. I’ve never broken any “significant” bones (just potentially little toes, apparently they break all the time I’ve heard).
As for rules… me? I’m a little angel, me…
Are you also afraid of spiders? What is your biggest fear, other than spiders? (if you’re not afraid of spiders, use your biggest phobia instead).
I don’t know if “afraid” is the right word. I know they can’t hurt me. Screaming and rushing across the room is just a result of being “startled”.
Do you think time goes faster as you get older?
Yes, because it does.

I guess you’re technically right about time going faster as we age, because I believe relativity theory holds that time slows down as you approach the speed of light…. thus, since we get slower as we age, time does appear to go faster. And they had the nerve to give me a C in physics class….

Unbelievable. I’m a member of the Institute of Physics, I’ll put in a word…

Thanks Alistair for Sharing Your World! Very precise and accurate definition of ‘radical honesty’. It’s a good way to lose friends and un-impress people too. Startled by spiders? Well if that’s your story… 😉 About time, all I know is that last year was over before I got accustomed to writing “2021” on stuff….. That’s the fastest I’ve ever seen time move. Maybe I’ve been stuck in a *snicker* Time Warp…. 🤣 and as the crickets chirp I see my stunning sense of humor has had its usual effect.. 🥺 (hehehe) It’s great to never have broken any bones, isn’t it? I suspect Karma has something nasty for us who never have, as we age too. I think I broke my little toe a couple of weeks ago, I smashed it against something and it didn’t quit hurting for a long time. But since they can’t do anything about those wee bones in the foot, I just pulled on the Big Girl Panties and soldiered on. Have a great week!

Those little toe accidents always make a little cracking sound, so I’m sure they break quite easily 😦

LOL Fun answers! I’ve broken rules on purpose and dishes by accident. And I still don’t like spiders.

I suppose I might have broken some rules on purpose too 😉

Draliman, I think time flies when you’re getting older, because we experienced already effurrything/the most of things in life, so our brain works on autopilot (don’t know if this is the English word, we call it “automatische piloot” in Dutch) On the other hand, weekends always fly by, don’t know why…MOL…Pawkisses for an Easy Week ahead🐾😽💞

“Autopilot” is exactly what we say too, Binky 🙂

I agree with you on “radical honesty.” To be radically honest, you can be rude as well.

For sure. A little diplomacy (ie white lies) can be better.
