Sharing My World 23-05-2022
Here is my post for Melanie’s Share Your World.
If You Could Be Best Friends With A Celebrity, Who Would It Be?
I can’t really answer that. I’d have to meet the celebrity first and see if I want to be friends with them. I don’t want to pick a celebrity here and now, in writing, only to discover in five years they’re in court for some sort of horrible crime.
What is, or should be, the main purpose of law?
To be able to legally punish people horribly when they break it. Or keep people safe and society on an even keel. One of those.
Do You Care About Reviews?
I always scan over reviews before I buy something online. Obviously they’re not all likely to be real, but it gives an idea.
Is the ‘mind’ different to the ‘brain’? If so, in what ways?
The brain is a physical organ, the mind is an abstract concept.

I don’t think celebrities commit horrible crimes. They can hire good attorneys to make sure they’re never convicted of one….

Thanks Alistair for Sharing Your World. Great answers. I think the (possibly) most distasteful part of being a celebrity is the massive ego. One has to be real fond of and confident in one’s prowess to be a celebrity in any field. There are exceptions of course, depending on the character of the person in question. Making an informed decision about goods we purchase is a very wise idea. Good description of mind versus brain. Thanks again for participating and have a great week!!

The trouble is people tend to associate the celebrity with a great character they’ve played, or a great song, or their public persona. You have a great week too!

I thought I’d go all “real” for that one 🙂

Seems perfectly logical to my mind. Or is it to my brain?

Both. Or either. You decide!

What about celebrity reviews? Can they be trusted? 🙂

Absolutely under no circumstances 🙂

But maybe you and the celebrity committed a horrible crime together! Not only could that be exciting, but you might get another celebrity to play you in the movie adaptation! 🥳

But I’m a good little boy 😮 I expect I was influenced into it by the celebrity. That’ll be how I’m portrayed in the movie, anyway.
