Sharing My World 04-03-2024
Here is my post for Share Your World, hosted by Di.
What to you is the first sign of Spring?
Seeing the little sprouts of daffodils pushing through in the back garden. There’s whole sheafs of them there at the moment, but no flowers yet.
Do you have a favourite flower at this time of year?
Apart from daffodils I don’t really know what comes out at this time of year, to be honest.
Does your country exercise the hour change?
Yes, the clocks will move forward an hour at 2am on the last Sunday of this month. It looks like that’s Easter Sunday, too. That’s a very early Easter this year.
Do you spring clean your home throughout, change furniture around or keep to a normal routine?
Clean? Change furniture around? What nonsense is this? 🙂

I clean in response to a threat of a visitor, not the seasons 🙂

hehe. I dusted today, a chore I hate with a passion, but it was so thick, you could almost plant seeds in it!!

Easter can fall as early as March 22nd, though with some extra government mandated clock changing, we can probably get Easter to land in February in the future…

To be honest February could do with something to pep it up a bit…

I feel better knowing that I’m not the only one with lots of sprouting daffodils but no flowers yet. We do have crocus in bloom and the beginning of wild strawberries, plus I think I’m seeing a couple of tulips. This year was so wet, a lot of our plants drowned. It’s too early to see if the daylilies survived. They looked sickly by the end of last year’s drought. Will they survive this year’s drowning?

It was a very wet and quite mild winter here. And still is, despite being Spring!
