Sharing My World Week 52
Here is my post for Cee’s Share Your World.

If you could hire someone to help you, would it be with cleaning, cooking, or yard work?
They could help me out with the cleaning. Well, they wouldn’t be “helping me” as I don’t do it at all. They’d be doing it all themselves.
If you were to move and your home came fully furnished with everything you ever wanted, list at least three things from your old house you wish to retain?
I’m assuming the “furnishings” include TV and whatnot so I guess it would be personal things I would be bringing. I have some photos and some artwork from my friends’ kids so that would all come. I have a load of photos in albums which haven’t been scanned so they would need to come too. Then of course there’s “the lads”.

What calms you down?
Reading and watching TV. Anything which takes me away from “the real life”, which is presumably why I’m not calm in the first place.
What inspired you or what did you appreciate this past week? Feel free to use a quote, a photo, a story, or even a combination.
I appreciated Lemsip and similar this week. Kept me going and functional 🙂

What household chore do you absolutely hate doing?
That’s an easy question. All of them. The trouble is, the longer I leave them the longer they take. That doesn’t stop me leaving them as long as possible, though. I always have great plans to keep on top of it all but it never really pans out.
At what time in your recent past have you felt most passionate and alive?
I don’t ever really feel “passionate and alive”. I’m usually more “even keel”.
How many times have you moved in the last ten years?
Twice, once into a little rented flat as a temporary measure which lasted five and a half years, and then nearly four years ago into my first ever owned house 🙂
What inspired you or what did you appreciate this past week?
Okay then, let’s give InspiroBot another whirl.
“Try to be the reason a man gets torn apart by owls.”
Wow, that’s pretty random. Sounds pretty profound, though.

Would you prefer a reading nook or an art, craft, photography studio?
None of those. I have my living room for all that. I’ll take a home cinema, please. Big screen, massive sound system, comfy chairs and a great big load of sound-proofing.
Tell how you are feeling today in the form of a weather report. (For example, partly cloudy, sunny with a chance for showers, etc.)
It’s Sunday and I don’t have anything specific planned, so I guess there’s a chance of some sunshine. Then I’ll remember all the things I have to do before Christmas and there’ll be a sudden squall.
If you could witness or physically attend any event past, present or future, what would it be?
Hmm. I think a week last Thursday. What a day. What a day.
What inspired you or what did you appreciate this past week?
I’ve decided to give InsproBot a Christmas break and thus remain uninspired.
Sharing My World 2017 Week 48
Here is my post for Cee’s Share Your World.

If you were having difficulty on an important test and could safely cheat by looking at someone else’s paper, would you do so?
I hope not. The temptation would probably be there but I would hope not to succumb. I also hope that I won’t need to take any more tests in my life 🙂
What things in nature do you find most beautiful?

Complete this sentence: When I travel I love to…
Get home again 🙂
What inspired you or what did you appreciate this past week?
Guru InspiroBot says…
“Ride the dreams”
Yeah!
Sharing My World 2017 Week 47
Here is my post for Cee’s Share Your World.

Do you ever sit on a park bench for more than ten minutes?
I doubt it. Ten minutes is quite a long time to be just sitting there. I might sit a little bit if there’s a nice view but generally I’ll start walking again fairly soon.
When you lose electricity in a storm, do you light the candles, turn on the flashlight or use your cell phone for light?
There was a storm a few weeks ago and the electricity did go out, from half past midnight to half past five. When I woke in the night, I used my mobile phone to go downstairs to find the torch. Then I remembered I had one in my bedside table. Then I set the alarm on my phone as obviously Alexa was down.
Fortunately when the power came back it was almost time to get up, as the default setting for WiFi lights after a power cut is “on”, so there was no getting back to sleep then.
Would you rather be given $10,000 for your own use or $100,000 to give anonymously to strangers?
Not wishing to seem selfish but I’ll take the money, please. Strangers will only waste it on frivolous knick-knacks whereas I would spend it on vital and important stuff like PlayStation games.

Go, InspiroBot, go!
“An illusion causes Dimethyltryptamine.”
See, that’s pretty clever. It’s more the other way round, so InspiroBot is urging us to think of the world in a different way, to challenge everything we think we know.
Or it’s talking nonsense again.
Sharing My World 2017 Week 46
Here is my post for Cee’s Share Your World.

Would you rather take a 2 week vacation with an organised tour or take a cruise of your choice?
I’d like to have both options simultaneously, please. So there are organised bits and I can pick and choose and if I want to go off and do my own thing I can. That way I’m not pressured but there are things to do which are already all sorted out if I wish.
Did you like swinging as a child? Do you still get excited when you see a swing?
Swinging? As a child? Surely that’s more of an activity between consenting adults? Whayhay 🙂
Oh, wait. I see. I don’t think I’ve ever heard it called “swinging” before. We call it “playing on the swings”. Yes! It was fun! They should have adult-sized swings.
What is the most important thing that you ever learned ? (I bet it’s not something you learned in school)
Oh, who knows. Maybe I haven’t learned it yet. I’ll probably get a massive life-changing revelation just before I drop dead.
What inspired you or what did you appreciate this past week?
Take it away, InspiroBot!
“With great sacrifice comes great sadness.”
Often true, I’m sure.
Sharing My World 2017 Week 45
Here is my post for Cee’s Share Your World.

Where do you eat breakfast?
Nowhere. My body seems to need a couple of hours before it can happily accept food. If I ate breakfast it would be at my desk at work, as typically I’m at work around an hour and twenty minutes after the alarm goes off.
Given the choice of anyone in the world, whom would you want to have an evening with?
It doesn’t say “alive or dead”, but I’m going to go with Hitler.
I would prepare a nice meal catering to his German tastes (or Austrian or whatever). We’d have a chat and I’d turn the conversation to politics. After dessert I’d offer him coffee to round off the meal and, having absorbed his view of the world, I’d then take the opportunity to kick the ever-living shit out of the racist homicidal maniacal asshat.
Next week – my brunch date with Saddam Hussein.
If you could be a tree or plant, what would you be?
If IÂ could be a tree or a plant, I’d turn the “opportunity” down, thanks. If I had no choice I guess I’d be a cactus. One of those flowering ones. Then when people come to admire and poke me they’d get a nasty needle in the finger. A plant’s gotta have some fun.
What inspired you or what did you appreciate this past week? Feel free to use a quote, a photo, a story, or even a combination.
Nothing really happened this week. So I’ll post another thought-provoking quote from InspiroBot.
“If someone can live through the afterlife, they can also stabilise wild animals.”
What? What? What does that mean? Does that even make any sense? Obviously that’s too deep for me.
Sharing My World 2017 Week 44
Here is my post for Cee’s Share Your World.

Was school easy or difficult for you? How so?
Yes 🙂 Depends on the lesson. Physics and English were easy. Well, English language. English literature was rubbish. I couldn’t understand what Shakespeare was saying half the time. Maths and Latin – urgh.
It wasn’t any fun, either. I don’t suppose it was meant to be. University was much better!
List some of your favourite types of animals.
Anything cute and fluffy. Like cats and whatnot.
What is your favourite large city you have been to? What is the one thing you remember most?
I’ll go with Stuttgart. I tend to avoid big cities and keep my head down, but I lived in Stuttgart for a year. Well, on the outskirts, but we spent a lot of time in the city. I liked the lovely gardens and the woods next to where I lived. It was before digital photography unfortunately, so no photos.
What inspired you or what did you appreciate this past week? Feel free to use a quote, a photo, a story, or even a combination.
My village friends gave me some lovely things this week. First, they wouldn’t let me contribute when we went to see Thor Ragnarok last Tuesday (great film, a must-see!). Then I got a “limited edition” school photo of their eldest, and finally I got a cushion sewn specially for me on her new sewing machine! Here it is. Pretty cool, huh? 🙂

Sharing My World 2017 Week 43
Here is my post for Cee’s Share Your World.

If you had to move to a country besides the one you currently live in, where would you move and why?Â
Yoinks. I’m a bit worried that I have to leave. I wonder what I’ve done?
I would move to the Shire. Maybe not Hobbiton itself as that could be quite expensive, but I hear that burrows on the outskirts are a bit cheaper. As long as I’m not too close to Mordor, that would be fine!
What colour would you like your bedroom to be?
I don’t know. A soothing lavender perhaps? At the moment it’s, um, some sort of white/off-white and I suppose it’s wallpaper. I could go look I suppose. For some reason I don’t notice things like that.
What makes you Happy? Make a list of things in your life that bring you joy.
Hmm, Happy. With a capital “H” no less. That’s some serious happy. I like watching my toddler godson and his brother and sister playing. I tend to feel content rather than happy, or Happy. Walking in the woods, sitting by water and so on.
What inspired you or what did you appreciate this past week? Feel free to use a quote, a photo, a story, or even a combination.
Time for InspiroBot to do its thing again.
“Keep on maturing unless you want to be monitored.”
Yeah, no-one wants to be treated like a kid their whole life.

Here is my post for Cee’s Share Your World.

What do you consider is the most perfect food for you? (It can be your favourite food to something extremely healthy.)
I would imagine the most perfect food for me would be nuts, berries and lettuce. But screw that, I’m not a rabbit. So I’ll go for pizza, chilli and cheese.
Are you focused on today or tomorrow?
Both. I’m a multi-tasker.
If you could interview one of your great-great-great grandparents, who would it be (if you know their name) and what would you ask?
I don’t know who it was that far back. So I’ll invent Aloysius “Claw Hand” Weathers, scourge of the Seven Seas. He informs me that he sailed hither and thither, robbing the rich and… keeping it. His exact words were “Robin Hood – what a loser”.
What inspired you or what did you appreciate this past week? Feel free to use a quote, a photo, a story, or even a combination.Â
Time to do your thing, InspiroBot.
“Seek not expectations, expect everything.”
Hmm, it’s just sticking random words together now.
