Sharing My World Week 8

In an attempt to put off unpacking, I’m going to Share My World! Thanks to Cee over at Cee’s Photography Blog for posting the weekly questions!

Here’s the mess I need to tackle shortly ๐Ÿ™‚ .

Messy Bedroom Move

Oh no!

More Messy Bedroom

Yes, that’s my bed.

So, on to the questions!

Would you rather be given $10,000 for your own use or $100,000 to give anonymously to strangers?
Well, not to sound selfish, but I’ll take the cash, thanks. I could pay off my credit cards! And whatnot.

When youโ€™re 90 years old, what will matter most to you?
Where I’m buried, I expect. On the off-chance that I’m still alive and kicking I hope my mind will still be functioning correctly.

Candy factories of the entire world have become one and will now be making only one kind of candy. Which kind, if you were calling the shots?
I’m not sure if the American word “candy” covers chocolate, but I’m going to assume it does. Therefore I’m going for some nice standard milk chocolate because that works for me in any situation!

So, youโ€™re on your way out and itโ€™s raining. Do you know where your umbrella is or do you frantically search for it all over your apartment/house?
While I was packing, I did actually stumble across a little umbrella. However, I don’t use umbrellas. I’m a hazard. I either turn it the wrong way and it gets blown inside-out and/or shredded, or I put some poor innocent’s eye out with it. For safety’s ย sake, I stick to using a hat (I’m not bothered about the rain per se, but I do like to keep it off my glasses, otherwise it can get difficult to see where I’m going!).

That’s all for this week, back to the unpacking for me!

With you on the imbrella thing. I have one (and know where it is) but prefer my hat or a full rain suit and keep my hands free

Umbrellas really are more trouble than they are worth most of the time.

Have fun unpacking and setting up your house ๐Ÿ™‚

omg!! Your pics remind me how much i LOATHE moving!!!! Before I wisely got divorced (ages ago) I was married to a surgeon who kept getting fired (yes u read that right….and yes he prob IS the only doctor in the world who gets canned every 2-4yrs!!) and i was packing and unpacking enormo houses worth of sh*t and dealing with the emotional upheaval of young kids changing schools waaaayyyyy too often!! yikes! your pics have sent me into flashbacks!!!!
A word about Americans and “candy”. Everyone EXCEPT my daughter lumps chocolate under that category. Her insistence candy is NOT chocolate is most likely a traumatic response to too many moves! hahahahaha!!
In Florida you must know where your umbrella is at all times and preferably it is in your purse everytime you leave the house after 3pm because 10mos out of the year it rains EVERY day!

As a student I had to move every year. I didn’t have much stuff back then, of course!
Thanks for clearing up the “candy” issue. In the UK we have “sweets” and “chocolate”, and I wasn’t sure if “candy” was just “sweets”.
Raining every day in Florida? Surely not! I’ve seen loads of Miami Vice and CSI Miami and whatnot and it hardly ever rains ๐Ÿ™‚

Have fun unpacking. I still have a few boxes left in my garage to unpack from when I moved this past June! ๐Ÿ™‚ Thanks for sharing!

I loved your answers to the first two questions!

I have only moved once, and I hope I never have to again. I still have stuff from 5 years ago I never unpacked, so just start with the essentials and tackle the rest as needed! That’s the advice of a slacker like me… ๐Ÿ˜‰

Only once! I’ve just counted my moves – 12, which includes 4 counties in England and 3 countries (including England). Most of those were having to move almost every year at university, mind.
I started with the essentials as well – after almost a week I’m still sleeping on the sofa, but my TV etc was plugged in within an hour of moving ๐Ÿ™‚

When you’ve the time please explain why you would care where you are buried?
I see dead as dead and not giving a sh** where I’m buried. Why care? Just curious how your mind went there .

It was just an off-the-cuff witticism, the “witty” bit being that I would be dead and wouldn’t care.
In reality I want to be cremated anyway.

        Yes to the cremation.

one thing about moving is that it forces you to get rid of stuff you don’t really need.
