MFTS – All Drugged Up
Here is my story for Barbara Beacham’s Mondays Finish the Story – 150 words, a photo and a starting sentence (which is in bold in my story).
I really needed a ton more words for this one but hey ho.

The team employed the use of Nightshade to get the information they wanted from their captive.
The pile of bodies in the corner attested to the fact that “deadly” was well-earned. It could be so difficult to get the correct dosage.
However, their current subject didn’t appear at all fazed by his current situation, strapped to a chair as he was. In fact, he appeared to be quite enjoying himself.
“Dude, I can see rainbows! This is some crazy shit!”
“Three times lethal dose and it’s barely touched him!” muttered one of the thugs.
“Talk, Bradley!” shouted the other.
“I told you, dude, it’s Brad. Hey, unicorns!”
Meanwhile, in the corner, Chad shifted position. His ever-present joint had easily burned through the rope binding him.
“Hey, dudes, it’s my turn!” he announced. As the thugs charged him, he exhaled, breathing a cloud of “Chad and Brad’s special mix” right in their faces. The thugs collapsed and Chad and Brad wandered off, arms full of deadly nightshade. Happy times tonight!
* Note: Chad and Brad are professionals. Nightshade is not to be consumed!
Chad and Brad have left Bill and Ted territory and are now into full-on Cheech and Chong mode…

Yep, though they’re still being excellent to one another 🙂

LOL. One man’s poison is another man’s treasure. Cool story.
On an editing note (not that I’m great at grammar myself), should the “at all” come at the end in this sentence: “However, their current subject didn’t appear at all fazed by his current situation”

Glad you liked it!
Thanks for the crit – the “at all” can go at the end but some of the emphasis is lost (in my opinion). In fact it feels almost “throwaway” if put at the end (to me) 🙂

Can I get some of that special mix? Sounds like, you know, man, really cool.

LOL! They were so use to being on drugs that the drugs didn’t effect them like they were suppose to. Haha! Great story!

Well, for someone who thought they needed more words, you did exceedingly goodly. Any more would have been sooperfloous 🙂
Used in very small doses, Nightshade can indeed produce mild euphoria…just ask Father Brown. He’s a wealth of knowledge when it comes to poisons, potions and peculiar deaths 🙂

Thanks! I guess I’ve seen nightshade around but not recognised it. I Googled it and looked at the pictures and it does look very pretty.

oh I loved that story!!! Hey Unicorns LOL! I grow this very flower in my courtyard most years. Perhaps that explains why I am a fairly “up” person? It only flowers at night and looks pretty in the moonlight. It is pollinated by a special night calling moth. Legend has it if you smell the flowers before going to bed you will have prophetic dreams. I haven’t tried it but I enjoy looking at them. ❤

I looked at some images before I wrote my story and they do look lovely. I wouldn’t try sniffing the flowers, though!
I’m glad you liked my story 🙂

Chad and Brad are back at it! Very funny. I’m steering clear of the Nightshade, although Unicorns could be lovely.

On that occasion they got their minds put back in their bodies (I think it was that Miner’s Hill MFTS that started it off). But stoner vampires sounds fun!
