Sharing My World 2017 Week 33

Here is my post for Cee’s Share Your World.

share-your-world2

What was the last URL that you bookmarked or saved?
It was a URL for a site I use for work. Pretty much all URLs I bookmark are for work. I find that bookmarks can get out of control quite quickly, until you end up needing bookmarks to find the bookmarks.

Do you believe in the afterlife? Reincarnation?
Not really, it’s more of a hope. A universe without me in it? Outrageous πŸ™‚

If you were or are a writer do you prefer writing short stories, poems or novels?
Short stories. Very short stories. I started writing a novel which is currently a short story as I only made it through one and a half pages before getting bored. I’m sure I’ll get back to it one day πŸ™‚

What inspired you this past week? Feel free to use a quote, a photo, a story, or even a combination.Β
Nothing springs to mind.

Sounds like you’ve got mid-holiday blues. I stopped saving bookmarks as never went back to look at them. I just leave tabs open now to make sure I follow up, which drives my husband mad whenever he uses my laptop.
Maybe it’s time for you to go back to lengthen that short story.

I do the “leave tabs open ” thing too! Currently it’s reminding me which house I want to view in Elder Scrolls.
One day, Mr Story, one day…

I wish those people who wrote those long, boring, thousand page novels I had to read in school had felt the way you did about writing. None of those stupid books would even exist.

“Hey, Romeo, our families are never gonna let us be together. Let’s tragically kill ourselves.”
      “You’re right! Ughhhhh.”
      “Ughhhhh.”
      The End.

A world without you in it is just wrong!
I actually had to make folders for all my bookmarks! πŸ™‚

      Yeah, right? πŸ˜‰
I’ve got some folders too but I generally end up Googling stuff anyway because I’ve forgotten I’ve bookmarked it.

I’m also slow about shortcuts because somehow, in the process of becoming shortcuts, they become spam. I’m not exactly sure what happens, but something you used to visit for some purpose becomes a place that never stops sending you mountains of useless email. I no longer have ANY political connections and only news to which i subscribe. Plus Amazon (who doesn’t spam me) and the place I buy my camera stuff. Also non spammers. the rest of them, I know that if i type a cope of letters in the box, it’ll show up … without a shortcut. But now, i’ve added the weather. Let’s hope they don’t spam me too.

I get lots of spam from sites I used many years ago. Though that’s not actually spam, of course, though I get plenty of actual spam too. The last thing you need is spammy bookmarks.

Haha, I know exactly what you mean about novel-writing. I also started one a few years ago, and got bored with it (despite forcing myself to stick it out for some time). Here’s a thought: you could publish a collection of short stories! You’re so good at writing them. πŸ™‚

I keep meaning to do that too but just think of all the work involved πŸ™‚ And thanks!
