Sharing My World 2018 Week 6

Here is my post for Cee’s Share Your World.

share-your-world2

What would be your ideal fantasy way to spend Monday?
After an extended lie in, me and my supermodel actress wife, Princess Bethany of Muldrongia, would go for a bit of a sail on the yacht to our private island where we’d spend the rest of the day being pampered. I expect our private Michelin-starred chef would manage a good old feast for our tea!

What one person that you are out of contact with would you like to say thank you to?
Well, there was this one girl from many years ago…

List your favourite toys or games as a kid?
Pretty much the standards. Monopoly, card games, Lego (I liked the space Lego).

What inspired you or what did you appreciate this past week? Feel free to use a quote, a photo, a story, or even a combination.
I appreciated getting to work safely when we had a spot of snow. Now, don’t laugh, I know it’s only a couple of millimetres. But it was early in the morning and there was frozen hail underneath so it was pretty slippery.

And remember, this happens once every few years in my area so we’re not set up for it, and not used to it. The last time we had lying snow was 2010, I believe.

I know what you mean about the snow. When it’s in an area where it’s not common or has ice underneath it can be dangerous. One of the worst dangers can be other drivers who don’t know how to drive in it and might bump into you because they keep pushing on the brake and skidding all over the place. Good answers, Ali. Your fantasy was great. You were lucky not to be a child member of the U.K. royal family as I read members of that family are not permitted to play Monopoly because it’s too competitive. 😀 — Suzanne

No Monopoly? That’s no good! I assumed the Royal Family played with real houses 🙂

Ali, if you send me some snow, I’ll send you a few degrees off our 38C temps (100.6) 😀

38C? Yoinks. I don’t think it’s ever hit 30C down here. 25C is too hot for me!

I understand the snow comment! I thought I was stuck at a play area last time we got it. I managed to get myself in the middle of a load of black ice haha! Was a complete ruh roh moment! Doesn’t need to be deep to be dangerous!

In fact if it’s deeper you’re just likely to get stuck (if you’re driving carefully). It’s the frozen hail and black ice that’s the dangerous ones 😦

You and Princess Bethany of Muldrongia need to curl up next to a nice fire.
    Snow? Bah, I say!

If you would have just built a snowman (or a hailman) out of all that snow in the picture, it would have all been gone!

The weather man did say “… but don’t expect to be building any snowmen”.

If you’re not use to driving in snow it can be grueling. Glad you made it to work safely!

The snow we get here is the truthful type!

We have had a lot of rain and a lot of freezing temps, so we too have had a lot of very dangerous ice — and in theory, we ARE used to it. But really, you never get “used to” ice.

Not a lot you can do really. Even 4x4s are no good in the ice.

Ice underneath the snow is the worst! You should have stayed on the yacht! 🙂

Hahaha – you’re right to say it was just a spot of snow! I remember that when I was living in the UK, even a hint of snow in the forecast was enough to ground flights. 😀

We have the same weather as you, Draliman and it is very tricky going out in the snow. Granny likes Monopoly too and I have my own Catopoly, that’s COOL huh? Last time we were introduced by my two-feet-brother with a new edition of Monopoly, the one with the card, so no more money was involved, only that stoopid creditcard, while Granny and I like to throw with money…MOL 😀 Pawkisses for a Happy Week ahead and stay safe 🙂 ❤

Catopoly sounds like fun! I would prefer to play with money, though 🙂
The snow only lasted a few hours but we’re getting a lot of very heavy hail showers 😦

We need to be thankful for the little thing – 7 or 8 years with no snow – it must be a shock when it lays then. And no wonder you were thinking yachts and other warm things for fantasy Monday. 🙂

We don’t often get snow or ice all the way down here. Parts of the main roads weren’t even gritted. I guess Cornwall Council’s gritting lorry had a flat tyre 🙂

Once every few years? And I thought we were deprived only getting an inch or so of it every year.
