Sharing My World 2018 Week 30
Here is my post for Cee’s Share Your World.
In regards to puzzle what’s your choice: jigsaw, crossword, word search, mazes, logic or numeric puzzles, something else, or nothing?
Out of all that lot, a jigsaw I guess. The last time a tried a crossword in the paper I got maybe three before resorting to the internet. Just the words “logic or numeric” makes my head hurt. Actually, I might go with “something else” – the sort of puzzle you get in video games like the Tomb Raider franchise. It can be fun to solve those.
List at least five favourite treats and it doesn’t necessarily have to be food.
- New tech. I just treated myself to a Logitech Harmony Elite remote and hub which links all my devices to one remote. Now I just say “Alexa, switch on movie” and it switches on the TV, Blu-ray player and AV receiver and selects all the correct inputs. And after sunset it switches on the backlighting I put behind the TV too. Watching it do all this is like magic 🙂
- A nice gateau, like Black Forest gateau. Yum!
- Five treats?
- That’s a lot.
- I’ve got nothing else.
What is your favourite type of dog? (can be anything from a specific breed, a stuffed animal or character in a movie)
I like when this question makes a reappearance as it gives me a chance to show the photo of the lads again.

I’ve seen ads for Alexa on TV but you get too far into the new tech and you lose me. I used to do crossword puzzles using a crossword dictionary. It was well-thumbed through. Good answers, Ali. 🙂 — Suzanne

My dad and I would talk to the television OFTEN many many years ago! I do not think I could ever get used to talking to the television and have it respond!!! SCARY!
I have never had the kind of cake you described… but my birthday is soon. I might have to give it a try?

You definitely want to try it, if you can find it. It’s so well known here but Americans don’t seem to know what it is!
You soon get used to issuing voice commands rather than pushing buttons.

The lads appear to be in deep thought about something. Maybe trying to figure out how they can get rid of those silly movie and TV show DVD’s so there’s more room on their shelf to grow out the gang…

How about jigsaws on an iPad? A friend does these and I just wonder why! You’re easily pleased with treats, I must say. Now, if only Alexa could whip you up a black forest gateau you’d be completed sorted!

Alexa sounds like something from a sci-fi film to my non-technological brain. I might ‘get on’ with it if someone else sets it up for me. Jigsaws are good, and so are crosswords, and I often do both (not at the same time, usually!). I’ve seen your lads before, and it’s nice to see them, All little cuties. i imagine, being so light-coloured, they’ve all had a few nice baths in the washing machine. 🙂

I don’t know where I’d be without Alexa. Imagine having to push switches to turn the lights on and off. What is this, the Dark Ages? 🙂
