Sharing My World Week 9

Hello friends! It’s time once again to Share My World, part of Cee’s Share Your World series of questions which helps bloggers to get to know one another a little better. Peace out!

This week’s questions are all about our dream house.

share-your-world2

Would you prefer a reading nook or an art, craft, photography studio?
Reading nook? Art studio? What what what? Where’s “kick-ass soundproofed and fully stocked entertainment room”? Somewhere I can turn up the volume and shoot aliens, or watch Hobbits (yay, Hobbits) kicking Orc ass, all without disturbing the neighbours with fully surround-sounded gunfire and whatnot.

And I could read in there as well.

Would you prefer the TV in the living room or another room?
I would prefer a TV in every room, thanks.

Especially in my kick-ass soundproofed and fully stocked entertainment room.

What colour would you like your bedroom to be?
Who cares, when I’ll be spending all my time in my kick-ass soundproofed and fully stocked entertainment room?

Okay then, lavender.

Would you prefer a one floor house or multiple levels?
Well, I just bought a house with two levels. While I’m a little worried about the stairs when I get older, it’s nice to go upstairs to sleep at the end of the day.

At least it would be if my bed wasn’t still in bits and I wasn’t still sleeping on the sofa in the living room.

Bonus question:
Ooh, a bonus question! What could it be, what could it be?

As I was saying, Bonus Question: What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up?
I’m grateful that my house move went reasonably smoothly. In the upcoming week I’m looking forward to getting my bedroom sorted out so I can invite the people round who have been eager to see my new abode (and so I can sleep in a bed again, because I’m getting too old for sleeping on sofas. Especially two-seater sofas).

That’s all for this week. Have a lovely week everybody!

Wow, I love the sound of your kick-ass soundproofed and fully stocked entertainment room. Me wants one too. We like playing Led Zeppelin really loud & I always worry about the neighbours. I might enjoy shooting a few hobbits too. Oh, sorry did you say aliens? lol 🙂

Nooo, you can’t shoot the Hobbits 😦
In my entertainment room, you can listen to Led Zeppelin as loud as you like. My room will be a real Stairway to Heaven! Ah ha. Ah hahaha 🙂

hhmmm lavender is a peaceful colour I suppose. I think for that first Q I couldn’t care less about a reading nook as I can read anywhere I can get comfy… But an art studio would be lovely, I would also like a music room… no I don’t want to choose, I want both… (this is where I sigh and resign myself as a dreamer). Oh dear sleeping on the sofa – it’s like you’ve resigned yourself to the doghouse! I too do not have a full sized sofa (couch) I have two small 2 seaters (loveseats) and napping on them really sucks cuz even though I am a shorty I am still too tall for my cute little loveseats.

I like the blue/purple/violet end of the visible EM spectrum 🙂
My sofa is also too short. It will be nice to be able to stretch out again. Of course I could have built the bed this evening if I hadn’t been watching Criminal Minds and Stargate Atlantis. I have a prioritisation problem!

aaahhh yes I understand. I have a similar ‘disorder’ I have a project (surprisingly finishing my bedroom and my youngest kid’s room) that has been in ‘progress’ for about 4-5 months now, that really should have been completed oh about 4-5 months ago… haha! But there is always so much stuff that is much more fun to be doing than these tedious projects. Although the end results I am sure would be worth it… sigh

Yes, I have to do finish at least the bed this weekend. Everyone is commenting on how tired I look. It’ll be great to get a good night’s sleep again.

Interesting! I’ve lived much if my life in a home that I designed that’s semi rural. I can play my music loud and no one knows, yet get to town in under 15 mins. Just might be the biggest mistake of my life. So safe, so static and nothing new.

Oh, how I long to listen to music loudly and with abandon. Ever since the Countess and I moved in with her grandmother, The only time I ever get to listen to music is in the car. If Gas weren’t so expensive I would just spend all my spare time driving around

I actually like that I’ve moved further from work (30 minute commute instead of 10). I enjoy driving along with my music nice and loud, and 10 minutes just wasn’t “doing it” for me.
Petrol prices do kill the enjoyment a bit though! A lot cheaper than it has been, but still expensive (according to various conversions on Google roughly 2.40 Canadian dollars per litre).

Question, please. Have you ever had a lavender room? On the EM spectrum while the color looks fabulous, how would lavender look in an adult mans home? Having hilarious sarcastic remarks flitting through my mind.

Maybe not. I just like the colour. I’ll leave my bedroom the way it is. I can’t remember exactly what colour it is but I’m sure it’s great 🙂
