Weekly Photo Challenge: Inside

This week’s Photo Challenge from The Daily Post wants a photo which says “Inside”. I have two photos which show inside and outside!

When it’s a bit chilly outside (even though the sun has come out)…

Piazza, Truro

Truro, Cornwall one early chilly but sunny Saturday morning

… it’s nice to snug up nice and warm in the living room of my new house with the gas fire on (and watch Dr Who).

Double flash reflection and a finger in the way! I am such the photographic professional πŸ™‚ .

Nice cozy fire in your cozy, friendly living room. Congratulations on your new home!

Thanks! It’s cosy now, it was a bit cold in the first week. I was too scared (or prudent?) to use the fire until I bought a CO detector.

Fires in the fireplace are probably the one thing I liked about winter, when I had one.

Looks like a perfect day, indoors and out!

It’s only a gas fire but it looks a bit real!
When I was a kid my parents had a real coal fire. That was amazing, but a lot of work to keep clean and so on.

It’s the ambiance of it all πŸ™‚

We had a fireplace in the living room and a woodstove in the den growing up. They were the only sources of heat, so lots of chopping, stacking and hauling wood all winter long.

Yes, much nicer than an electric fire.
I guess after all the chopping and carrying you were already all warmed up πŸ™‚

Wow it looks great, have you got your bed built yet? I haven’t seen Dr. Who in years. I watched it from the very first episode & continued for years but then I was in the woods without a telly lol & now I’m in Israel without a telly lol πŸ™‚

Yep, the bed is built (last Sunday).
I’ve been watching Dr Who from early Tom Baker (though I’ve seen earlier on DVD/video). I’m a big fan!

      It is cosy!
The big building on the right is the “Hall for Cornwall”. That’s where you’ll be playing when your grand tour arrives here πŸ™‚

Great, I’d hate Mick to get you all lost!
It did turn into a lovely day, for once.

Do you think we could get the people at the hall to leave the porch light on? That way, Mick is sure to find it.

        I’m sure they will.
It’ll be easy to find. It will have loads of people outside saying “Who’s this old dude? Mick who? We want Buffalo Tom”!

Yahoo! Gunther wants to film the concert so we can sell it on VHS and beta max video cassettes.

Hurrah for a new house and for a fireplace. In our former house, we had a wood-burning stove and it was great! Nice to see you outside FF.

A proper wood-burning stove sounds lovely.
It’s been a while since I did any of the Daily Post challenges, but I had ready-made photos for this one!
