Sharing My World Week 47
Welcome to a special edition of Cee’s Share Your World this week! Instead of four questions to answer, this week we’re asked to list at least 50 things that we enjoy.
Fifty?
FIFTY?
Boy oh boy. That’s a lot of things. Let’s give it a whirl, anyway. In no particular order.
- Sunday lunch with Mum and Dad
- My bloggy community – commenting on great posts and getting comments back
- Reintroduction to writing – some prompts in my bloggy community reminded me after so many years (decades) that it’s fun to make stuff up
- Jar Jar Binks!
- I’m in reasonable health allowing me to go out for walks and see places
- Getting home at the end of a cold day and snuggling by the fire
- Fish and Chip Fridays
- Pizza Saturdays
- Kindle
- Books for giving me somewhere to escape to
- My go-to TV (Star Trek/Stargate/Bones and so on) which is always there waiting for me on DVD
- Fast broadband
- Jar Jar Binks!
- Living so close to my best friends and new godson
- Amazon Prime streaming
- Flowers in my garden in the summer
- One or two flowers still left in the winter
- Cheap-skate Tuesdays at the cinema (that’s not the official name for it)
- Stuff you buy online arriving the next day rather than the “please allow 28 days for delivery” of my childhood’s mail order
- Jar Jar Binks!
- My PS4 for gaming and streaming
- The peace and quiet were I live
- My car – nippy and comfortable for my daily commute
- Buying a film at the click of the button
- Seeing cool music and beng able to get it immediately
- The smell of a brand new day
- Jar Jar Binks!
- Afternoon naps
- I enjoy the fact that I’ve decided not to attempt to “expand my mind” with the so-called classics, allowing me to read/listen to/watch Kim Harrison/Iron Maiden/Planet Terror rather than Jane Austin/Beethoven/War and Peace and not feel guilty about it
- My coffee machine
- Marmite
- Living in a free country
- Jar Jar Binks!
- Fancying watching a film and being able to rent/buy it straight away (I fancied watching “Demolition Man” again last night and hey presto – there it was!)
- Entertainment corner
- Technology and how it’s progressed to such coolness
- Puppies on a Roll
- Little cats who roam around the place like they own it
- The village market
- Jar Jar Binks!
- My job
- My little house
- Stuffed puppies
- Lazy Sunday mornings
- Living somewhere with such beautiful scenery
- The occasional holiday
- Bubbling brooks
- Going for walks in the summer sun and in the crisp winter cold
- Christmas day with the family
- And last but by no means least, Jar Jar Binks!
Wow, that was quite a list! See you all again next week 🙂

I’m not doing this challenge so didn’t have to come up with 50 things, but if I had I might also have listed Jar Jar Binks. We once had a dog by that name.

That’s an awesome name for a dog 🙂

Iron Maiden? I never would have guessed that one. Awesome. 🙂

I’m a big fan! I saw them live in Germany in 91, which was great. My range of music is everything from Abba to Iron Maiden.
No comments on Jar Jar? 🙂

That must have been one helluva concert 😀 I knew you said you liked different music, but something you said on one of my music posts got me thinking that metal wasn’t in there. At least I think it was you. 🙂
#45 is pretty great too!

Ali, I would guess you really, really like Jar Jar Binks. I would also guess you lead a good life. The internet isn’t as fast here. It’s probably a combination of my little laptop (smaller than the regular size and perchased by a relative for me. He didn’t think I’d probably be doing anything but email–wrong. I paid for it but he picked it out.) and the electricity going on and off at odd times and messing up cable service. My daughter used two words for it–poor infrastructure. In other words, she said what did I expect, I’m in India. 🙂 — Susan

We don’t have amazing infrastructure here but I’m lucky that although I get abysmal mobile service in the village they did get around to installing fibre optic broadband. Being able to stream HD programmes is great!
I do think Jar Jar is funny, though I put him in multiple times as a sort of joke 🙂

You have simple tastes, and are obviously easy to please. Love some of your choices – especially the beautiful scenery, babbling brook, summer and winter walks. Nothing gets better than that.

Yes, I’m easy to please! A nice walk by a babbling brook, then back home to a warm fire and pizza 🙂

I had to look up Jar Jar Binks. I could have (excluding Jar Jar) copied and pasted your list and with a few minor changes (very minor), could have used it as mine.

I’m thinking maybe one of your minor changes would be to remove the Marmite 🙂
People either love Jar Jar or hate him with a passion.

Brilliant insight into a Jar Jar groupie. You have a very beautiful mind Dr Ali. Anyone who has found peace and quiet and has lots of puppies on a roll and one who dresses like a pirate and has little cats who own it all and babbling brooks has truly found the meaning of life in my book!

It’s a bridge in North Wales. I wonder how many people have sat nearby and contemplated?

Jar Jar does have that certain something that Star Wars has always been lacking 🙂

Great list and I hope Jar Jar appreciates being included so many times. 🙂 Very glad to know you like your job – it’s awful when you don’t. This is a list of things to be thankful for as well as to enjoy.

England is the only place you’ll get “proper” fish and chips 🙂
A lot of the food you post looks scrumptious. I think after a while I would miss the occasional fish and chips, though.
