Sharing My World 2015 Week 11

It’s time for Share Your World again, hosted by Cee.

List 2 things you have to be happy about?
Oh goodness, I’m not so good with this sort of question. A good job in a great company, and living in a country where I don’t have to worry about very much at all compared to some.

Do you prefer ketchup or mustard or mayonnaise?
Yes. Also Tabasco, Worcester sauce, horseradish sauce, mint sauce etc etc. The way I “cook”, it’s usually best not to be able to taste the food.

This is all I have in at the moment. I hope it will do.

If you were to paint a picture of your childhood, what colours would you use?
Golly gosh! I don’t know. I had a happy childhood so something bright, I suppose. Yellow, maybe.

Do you prefer a bath or shower?
A shower. Leaving alone the fact that after a bath I feel all sweaty and in need of a shower, baths are too expensive. I had an ex once whom I allowed to stay on in the place I was renting while she finished her finals at university (big mistake but that’s another story). She switched from showers to baths and tripled my water bill. Tripled!

Here’s a bonus for this week. I entered and won Evil Squirrel’s Second Annual Contest of Whatever, and here is what I got for my prize – a cool t-shirt direct from ES’s CafePress shop. This is also my very first selfie :-). And here’s a shameless link drop to my winning entry.

I tried one using the mirror and then I had a go by aiming the camera at myself and using the mirror to see what I was pointing the phone at.

Congratulations! A worthy win for the squirrels. I like your choice of condiments too – Branston Pickles, HP sauce, Lea & Perrins – yum. I have a Cornish best friend, and she has indoctrinated me over the last 40 years 😀

That’s the first shirt selfie I’ve ever seen, Ali. Good-looking tee. Congratulations on your win! I used to make a meatloaf using a Heintz 57 Sauce recipe.. It was great. You put the sauce both in it and on it. 🙂

If it’s got Heinz sauce in it I could probably give it a go 🙂

The Heintz Company used to give out the recipe. I don’t know if they do that any more. You make it just like regular meatloaf, but add a couple tablespoons of Heintz 57 Sauce in it and then coat the outside with it before cooking. It’s great.

Nice! You could totally be one of the headless models Cafepress uses to show off the tees. Thanks for showing it off, and I’ll bet it’ll start up a conversation or two with strangers!

I can also point to it if I don’t want to talk to someone! It’ll be warm enough to wear it soon without a jumper.

Excellent tee shirt ,and you can wear it with pride. A well-deserved win – congratulations. Great collection of condiments, too. I also agree with you about having a bath. There are far better things to be getting on with than soaking for hours, only to feel all sweaty when you get out! 🙂

Thanks, it is a great t-shirt!
After a couple of minutes in a bath I start to feel like I should be doing something.

A good woman is worth a triple water bill, harrumph.
Love the tee shirt, looks great on the headless model.
I know Ill be out of town, someday somewhere and I’ll come face to face with a ES shirt.

Yep. Except we’d split up, she spent all her money on clothes rather than help with the bills she was creating and brought men back, while I paid all the rent and bills and slept downstairs on the floor. Ah, happy days.
I decided to deliberately cut my face out of the picture 🙂 Good luck with the ES t-shirt spotting while out and about!

I was kidding a little since you hid your face with the phone, but I am a Samsung owner and like it much better than my Motorola. 🙂

I haven’t had a Motorola for a good long while (pre-smartphone era). They were quite good back in the day!

Congratulations on your win. It’s very well deserved. I have to disagree with you on baths, though. I scribble most of my stories while bathing – mainly because its one time when I’m completely free of distraction and can just focus on what’s in my head!

I write all my stories either quickly at work or while watching Eastenders or Hollyoaks (yeah, yeah, I know…). I don’t think I’ve ever written a story while I wasn’t doing something else at the same time. And I wonder why I won’t commit to a novel…
