What would be your ideal fantasy way to spend Monday?
After an extended lie in, me and my supermodel actress wife, Princess Bethany of Muldrongia, would go for a bit of a sail on the yacht to our private island where we’d spend the rest of the day being pampered. I expect our private Michelin-starred chef would manage a good old feast for our tea!

What one person that you are out of contact with would you like to say thank you to?
Well, there was this one girl from many years ago…

List your favourite toys or games as a kid?
Pretty much the standards. Monopoly, card games, Lego (I liked the space Lego).

What inspired you or what did you appreciate this past week? Feel free to use a quote, a photo, a story, or even a combination.
I appreciated getting to work safely when we had a spot of snow. Now, don’t laugh, I know it’s only a couple of millimetres. But it was early in the morning and there was frozen hail underneath so it was pretty slippery.

And remember, this happens once every few years in my area so we’re not set up for it, and not used to it. The last time we had lying snow was 2010, I believe.

If you had an unlimited shopping spree at only one store, which one would you choose? Why?
I either chose Amazon or some sort of IT shop last time we had this question. This time I’m shooting for the stars and going for a Ferrari main dealer.

I’ll bring me mates and we’ll clean that place out. Ferrari’s for everyone!

What is the worst thing you ate recently?
I don’t really eat bad things. I make my own meals and it’s hard to screw up a sandwich. I did have a tin of soup last week which was pretty uninspiring but I wouldn’t call it bad.

Name five things you like watching…
I like watching the waves, running water and my godson having fun with his toys. I also like watching all things sci-fi and fantasy.

What inspired you or what did you appreciate this past week? Feel free to use a quote, a photo, a story, or even a combination.
Just getting through the week. And next week promises to be even busier!

List 2 things you have to be happy about.
I’m happy that I’ve bought a new fridge freezer! It’s both a fridge and a freezer, so that’s my 2 things. The freezer bit at the bottom has little drawers and everything!

Have you ever owned a rock, pet rock, or gem that is not jewellery?
I owned a pet quartz/flint cross as a kid but one day I left the garden gate open and it got run over.

Very sad.

Are you a hugger or a non-hugger?
I hug back šŸ™‚

I spent the day last Sunday with my godson on his fourth birthday (which I mentioned in last week’s SYW post). He and his little friends had a bouncy castle, ball pit and so on in the morning and then he had a birthday tea in the evening. Judging by his face he had a great time the entire day šŸ™‚

Complete this sentence: I’m looking forward to…
… my little Godson’s fourth birthday today. He’s having a party with his friends around lunch time and then a birthday tea later on šŸ™‚

What is your favourite comfort snack food?
Chocolate, I guess.

What was one of your first moneymaking jobs (other than babysitting or newspaper delivery)?
My first job was working in the computer department at the County Council. It was full-time, for about three months. This was between my A Levels and going to university, so it was a nice little money boost before going away.

What inspired you or what did you appreciate this past week? Feel free to use a quote, a photo, a story, or even a combination.
I popped over to my parents’ house after work one evening to help move furniture back (they’ve had a new carpet put down) and Mum cooked me bacon, egg and potato waffles for my tea. That was much appreciated šŸ™‚

Do you prefer a bath or shower?
Shower. A bath never really ends up making me feel particularly clean. I just end up sweating a lot. Plus, I can’t afford to keep taking baths. I had a girlfriend once in the 90s who suddenly started taking a bath every day instead of a shower. She tripled my water bill 😦

What do you do to make a living or during the day? If you are retired what mostly occupies your day? Or if you are a student what are you studying?
I work in IT. Computers and such. I say “have you tried switching it off and on again” a lot.

Is there a stuffed animal in your bedroom?
Oh boy, is there! This is yet another opportunity to show the most posted image on my blog – the lads!

What inspired you or what did you appreciate this past week? Feel free to use a quote, a photo, a story, or even a combination.
Nuffin’, init.

What one word describes you best?
Befuddled.

It’s a crazy world.

What is set as the background on your computer?
A scene from Golitha Falls in Cornwall.

If you have been to a foreign country name those you have been too?
Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland (part of the UK but different countries).

Germany, Republic of Ireland (living and working).

France, Switzerland, The Netherlands (work trips/looking around).

What inspired you or what did you appreciate this past week? Feel free to use a quote, a photo, a story, or even a combination.
I don’t know. Life just happens. Days come and days go. Time marches on. And all that.

What caring thing are you going to do for yourself today?
Have a nice nap at lunchtime. Which I’ve already had.

List at least five of your favourite spices? (excluding salt and pepper)
Oh no, I can’t have Salt N Peppa?

Okay then, in that case I’ll go for Sporty, Scary, Baby, Ginger and Posh.

What can you always be found with?
My phone. Map, calendar, email, camera, texts, authentication apps all in one. Oh yeah, it’s a phone too.

What inspired you or what did you appreciate this past week? Feel free to use a quote, a photo, a story, or even a combination.
Oh, I don’t know. Let’s go for Christmas, shall we? Christmas inspired me. I was inspired by Christmas. I find running out of money and putting on ten stone highly inspiring.

Happy New Year šŸ™‚

If you could hire someone to help you, would it be with cleaning, cooking, or yard work?
They could help me out with the cleaning. Well, they wouldn’t be “helping me” as I don’t do it at all. They’d be doing it all themselves.

If you were to move and your home came fully furnished with everything you ever wanted, list at least three things from your old house you wish to retain?
I’m assuming the “furnishings” include TV and whatnot so I guess it would be personal things I would be bringing. I have some photos and some artwork from my friends’ kids so that would all come. I have a load of photos in albums which haven’t been scanned so they would need to come too. Then of course there’s “the lads”.

What calms you down?
Reading and watching TV. Anything which takes me away from “the real life”, which is presumably why I’m not calm in the first place.

What inspired you or what did you appreciate this past week? Feel free to use a quote, a photo, a story, or even a combination.
I appreciated Lemsip and similar this week. Kept me going and functional šŸ™‚

What household chore do you absolutely hate doing?
That’s an easy question. All of them. The trouble is, the longer I leave them the longer they take. That doesn’t stop me leaving them as long as possible, though. I always have great plans to keep on top of it all but it never really pans out.

At what time in your recent past have you felt most passionate and alive?
I don’t ever really feel “passionate and alive”. I’m usually more “even keel”.

How many times have you moved in the last ten years?
Twice, once into a little rented flat as a temporary measure which lasted five and a half years, and then nearly four years ago into my first ever owned house šŸ™‚

What inspired you or what did you appreciate this past week?
Okay then, let’s give InspiroBot another whirl.

“Try to be the reason a man gets torn apart by owls.”

Wow, that’s pretty random. Sounds pretty profound, though.

Sharing My World 2017 Week 49

Would you prefer a reading nook or an art, craft, photography studio?
None of those. I have my living room for all that. I’ll take a home cinema, please. Big screen, massive sound system, comfy chairs and a great big load of sound-proofing.

Tell how you are feeling today in the form of a weather report. (For example, partly cloudy, sunny with a chance for showers, etc.)
It’s Sunday and I don’t have anything specific planned, so I guess there’s a chance of some sunshine. Then I’ll remember all the things I have to do before Christmas and there’ll be a sudden squall.

If you could witness or physically attend any event past, present or future, what would it be?
Hmm. I think a week last Thursday. What a day. What a day.

What inspired you or what did you appreciate this past week?
I’ve decided to give InsproBot a Christmas break and thus remain uninspired.
