Sharing My World 2016 Week 25
Here is my post for Cee’s Share Your World.
How many languages do you you speak?
English. Some American English (courtesy of American TV). I can understand a little French from my school days and speak a tiny bit. I’m better at German but very out of practice.
What are some words that just make you smile?
Bunny. Kitten. Patches (I type it a lot as a substitute for “updates” on the computer and it always makes me think of a cute little doggy).
If you were the original architect of one existing building, which building would you select?
This one.
It’s the Longaberger building in Ohio. Apparently they make baskets. Isn’t it awful? If I designed this I’d be famous and notorious for ever!
Would you rather have telepathy or telekinesis?
Let’s look at the pros and cons.
Telepathy pros:
- I could hear what other people are thinking 🙂
Telepathy cons:
- I could hear what other people are thinking about me 😦
Telekinesis pros
- I would never have to reach for the remote control again 🙂
- I could fling people across the room with but a thought 🙂
Telekinesis cons
- None 🙂
Telekinesis it is.

But your comments prompt says you’d love to hear my thoughts. So telepathy, right? 🙂 Though the remote thing could save years, when you add it all up. Hmm. I’m on the fence.

Ha! Maybe subconsciously I’m leaning towards telepathy after all.
However, I’ve just spent an hour weeding the garden and my aged legs are complaining and with telekinesis I could have sat in a chair and willed the weeds into the garden recycling bin, which is sounding pretty good about now 🙂

That’s a brilliant use for telekinesis.

When one of those superfluous handles snaps off in a freak storm and crashes through the roof, killing half of the Longaberger home office staff, I’d hate to be the architect who got just a little too cute with the design…

On the other hand if they need to relocate they could just pick it up and take it with them.

I think telepathy is a great way to end up alone…

Yay for Ohio! 😛
I wouldn’t mind throwing some people across a room with just my mind. That would be amazeballs.

Telekinesis would be a great way to do tidyupping! 😀

For sure! Also a great way to never get up off the sofa though too, I fear 🙂

I still think we should hold out for full teleportation. I actually think that weird basket building is kind of cool. I don’t think I’d want to live next door to it, but it certainly is clever 🙂

It would be quite cool to see it in real life. I bet they get lots of people with cameras hanging around!
Maybe I should wait then until I can teleport the weeds directly to wherever garden waste goes for composting.

I’m with you on the telekinesis thing, though like Marilyn I think teleportation would be pretty great too, even in short range to teleport the remote closer to me.

No-one could accuse us of wasting our superpower 🙂

I would like to have neither of them; not any more than I already have naturally. More than that, I’m afraid it would cause headaches. 🙂

It might well cause headaches – on TV there’s always a price to pay for such powers!

Your thoughts on telekinesis have swayed me that way, especially if I could move the remote without actually knowing where it is. The remote for our sound system has disappeared.

Try concentrating really hard – maybe it will float up from wherever it’s hiding!

If you had telekinesis, I can imagine a lot of people flying about on days when you’re held up in ‘tourist’ traffic. 🙂

Another great reason to go the telekinesis route!
