Sharing My World 2017 Week 41
Here is my post for Cee’s Share Your World.

If you were given the opportunity to ride in a helicopter would go?
Of course, yes! Wow, what an experience! All those amazing views, swooping through the air, all that incredible scenery, flying along held up by whirling angled blades counteracted by another blade at the tail in a machine which shouldn’t really be able to fly, forces balancing forces where any little issue could end in flaming death.
No way, no, never gonna happen. Ride in a helicopter? Are you mad?
What are some of your favourite type of proteins to eat? (meat, seafood, eggs, soy, cheese, nuts)
First on the list would be cheese, followed closely by cheese. In a pretty close third place comes cheese.
I like meat and eggs as well π
What would be your preference, awake before dawn, at dawn, or awake before noon?
All of them. I would like to be awake before dawn so obviously I’d be awake at dawn and before noon as well. Shame to waste the day!
What inspired you or what did you appreciate this past week? Feel free to use a quote, a photo, a story, or even a combination.
Once again I fall back on the inspiration robot. Let’s see what it has to say this week.
“If we all work together we can make equality become history.”
Hey, that actually makes sense for a change and is rather good π
Sharing My World Week 40
Here is my post for Cee’s Share Your World.

What is your favourite outdoor activity?
Outdoor? Outdoor? What is this thing of which you speak?
Ah yes, now I remember. Outdoor is the place without the PlayStation, the TV, the Netflix.
I once ventured there, a place of timeless mystery, of things wondrous to behold, a place of majesty.
Didn’t like it. Not going back.
(Walking along cliffs or on moorland or in forests is the actual answer. Anywhere with water is nice. And of course talking photos while I’m there.)

In a car would you rather drive or be a passenger?
If it’s somewhere I know or a long journey, definitely the driver. In a big city I don’t know, the passenger.
If you could have three wishes granted for you alone, what would they be?
Ooh, for me alone. So I don’t have to pretend not to be selfish and wish for world peace. I don’t know now.
A minibus full of supermodels on their way to a shoot gets lost and they press my doorbell asking for directions…
What inspired you or what did you appreciate this past week? Feel free to use a quote, a photo, a story, or even a combination.
I’m clicking the link on that website again which Erika sent me. Here goes…
“If you are not letting yourself enjoy purity you are obviously not very mysterious.”
Deep, man.
Sharing My World Week 39
Here is my post for Cee’s Share Your World.

Complete this sentence: I want to learn more about…
… life, the metaphysical vagaries of existence, existentialism, the mysterious phenomenon of the creation of being, the evolution of species, the…
no, wait, that’s not it. I want to learn more about chocolate. Mmm, chocolate.
On a vacation what you would require in any place that you sleep?
Somewhere softish to sleep would be good, but the main thing would be proper bathing and toilet facilities. Camping in a snug sleeping bag would be fine as long as there are shower facilities in the vicinity π
What is your greatest extravagance?
Tech stuff, I guess. Sometimes I have to hold myself back. Fortunately a lot of it is so expensive I won’t buy it, but I can be a sucker for it sometimes.
What inspired you this past week? Feel free to use a quote, a photo, a story, or even a combination.
Good news! Erika from Dorky Mom Doodles has kindly supplied me with a link to a fully automated inspiration robot. So here is what inspired me this week:
“Don’t attempt to shrink what others find unshrinkable.”
Wise words indeed.
Sharing my World Week 38
Here is my post for Cee’s Share Your World.

Would you want $200,000 right now or $250,000 in a year? Itβs safe to assume all money is tax free.
I’ll have the bigger amount next year, thanks. And I’ll take it in local currency, too. None of this dollar nonsense. The extra I’d pay on my mortgage this year is not nearly as much as the extra money I’ll get next year, at which point I’ll pay the mortgage off.
Is it more important to love or be loved?
I dunno. Can I have both?
List things that represent abundance to you.
Hmm. The definition of abundance is “a very large quantity of something”. Currently there is an abundance of cars on the road. There is also an abundance of rain falling from the sky.
What inspired you this past week? Feel free to use a quote, a photo, a story, or even a combination.Β
Nothing, dammit.
Sharing My World 2017 Week 37
Here is my post for Cee’s Share Your World.

What colour do you feel most comfortable wearing?
Dark blue. And black. So I can sneak around without being noticed. Like a ninja. But without the sword-waving.
What is your favourite type of dog? (can be anything from a specific breed, a stuffed animal or character in a movie)

The Lads.
List at least five favourite flowers or plants.
Five? I’m not sure I know the names of five. I like heather and lavender. These blue ones in my back garden are nice. I expect they’re bluebells because they’re blue and they look like bells. But they might not be.

These are nice too. There’s at least two different types of flowers here, so that makes five!

Some of these might be my favourite flowers (taken at Bodnant Gardens, North Wales)
What inspired you this past week? Feel free to use a quote, a photo, a story, or even a combination.
Oh boy, this again. Am I the only person who just goes through life, day to day, without getting particularly inspired? I blame fifty hours at work and then being very tired after all that.
Sharing My World 2017 Week 36
Here is my post for Cee’s Share Your World.

What would constitute a “perfect” day for you?
Hmm. Maybe an early morning trip around a nice location, such as Godrevy, followed by lunch, an afternoon nap and then some more relaxing π

Complete this sentence: My favourite place in the whole world…
Home, I guess. It’s nice to get out and about but also very nice to come home again.
Who was your best friend in elementary (junior) school (prior to age 12)?
He was called Michael. We met at around age 5 or 6 and were best friends until around early teens. I’m not sure what he’s up to now, we lost touch.
What inspired you this past week? Feel free to use a quote, a photo, a story, or even a combination.
Oh no, this question again π¦ It was very sunny the other day and I was inspired to close the curtains so I could see the TV properly. Ahem.
Sharing My World 2017 Week 35
Here is my post for Cee’s Share Your World. Cee is on holiday, so this week’s guest host is Emilio! Thanks for stepping into the breech π

Have you ever been pulled over by a cop?
No. Yes. Sort of. It was one of those checkpoint-type things while I was living in Ireland. I don’t know what they were looking for, if anything in specific, but I just rolled down the window, gave him my best grin, said “hi!” and he waved me on.
What have you always wanted? Did you get it?
What I’ve always wanted has changed over the years. Various toys when I was a kid – I got some of them. I always wanted to be a top spy when I was little. That didn’t happen. It’s probably for the best. There’s nothing I particularly want right now. Except maybe a supermodel for a girlfriend. That’s probably not going to happen either. That’s probably for the best too.
What is your perfect pizza?
Every pizza is my perfect pizza! How can any pizza not be perfect? It’s pizza! Here’s one I made earlier…

Yum
What inspired you this past week? Feel free to use a quote, a photo, a story, or even a combination.
Nothing, as usual. The week came, the week went.
Sharing My World Week 34
Here is my post for Cee’s Share Your World.

When you leave a room, do you turn the lights off behind you or keep the lights on throughout your house most of the time?
Always off, unless I’m about to go back in. Electricity isn’t cheap, and the more you use, the more pollution is created by the power station.
I don’t actually turn most of the lights off, I tell Alexa to do it for me. And the kitchen is on a motion sensor. Light switches are soooo last year.
What do you feel is the most enjoyable way to spend $500?
Dunno, that’s a very middling amount of money (currently Β£390). I don’t need anything for that amount of money at the moment so I’d probably buy more Premium Bonds. Unexpectedly winning a vast amount of money against all odds would be pretty enjoyable.
Complete this sentence: My favourite thing to do on my cell phone is…
… ummmm. My mobile phone is a tool. I don’t really do “enjoyable” things with it, so I guess taking photos sometimes when I arrive at work and there’s a lovely sunrise.

What inspired you this past week? Feel free to use a quote, a photo, a story, or even a combination.
As usual, nothing. I go to work, I come home. I guess I’m a difficult person to inspire.
Sharing My World 2017 Week 33
Here is my post for Cee’s Share Your World.

What was the last URL that you bookmarked or saved?
It was a URL for a site I use for work. Pretty much all URLs I bookmark are for work. I find that bookmarks can get out of control quite quickly, until you end up needing bookmarks to find the bookmarks.
Do you believe in the afterlife? Reincarnation?
Not really, it’s more of a hope. A universe without me in it? Outrageous π
If you were or are a writer do you prefer writing short stories, poems or novels?
Short stories. Very short stories. I started writing a novel which is currently a short story as I only made it through one and a half pages before getting bored. I’m sure I’ll get back to it one day π
What inspired you this past week? Feel free to use a quote, a photo, a story, or even a combination.Β
Nothing springs to mind.
Sharing My World Week 32
Here is my post for Cee’s Share Your World.

If you had to have your vision corrected would you rather: glasses or contacts? Or what do you use if you need to have your vision corrected?
I’ve worn glasses since I was in primary school. I had a brief flirtation with contact lenses in my mid-twenties. Due to my astigmatism I had to have the hard ones (the soft ones couldn’t handle it back in those days). They were all very well but a lot of hassle to clean, a bit uncomfortable and if I looked the wrong way and blinked they’d fly out π¦
I also had a habit of falling asleep in lectures. And trust me, you do not want to fall asleep with contacts in.
Are you more of a dog person or a cat person?
A cat person. As far as dogs go, they’d have to be stuffed ones.
Stuffed cuddly toys, I mean. I don’t go out and kill dogs and stuff them. That would be gross and wrong.

The Lads.
If you were to buy a new house/apartment what are the top three items on your wish list?
A decent-sized enclosed back garden, maybe with a little stream gurgling through it. A couple of extra rooms. And a lovely view – a lake and some forest with a mountain here and there in the distance would be ideal π
What inspired you this past week? Feel free to use a quote, a photo, a story, or even a combination.
Nuffin π¦ I just ground my way through the week. But if you want something inspirational, here are Grumpy Cat’s words of wisdom for this month. Words to live by.
